Stan joined DraftKings in December of 2020. It was a glorious time, except for that whole COVID thing, when we got Madden streams and boisterous bat flips from the KBO. I was brought on board to bring some West Coast flavor. I especially love hoops, and most of my content is in that arena. When I walk along the beach, strumming my guitar, the beat that I hear is not one of crashing waves. No, it is the beat of the ball bouncing off the hardwood with highs provided by the squeaks of the sneakers. Ball is life.
The Pacers had the Royce Gracie choke hold on the Knicks in Game 3, leading by 20 at one point. But the Knicks battled back as Karl-Anthony Towns shelved the meows and provided roars after each trey and dime, leading New York to the comeback and eventual 106-100 victory. The 100 points were the fewest […]

After strutting out of NYC with two wins in MSG, the Indiana Pacers were smelling blood and swept the leg early on in Game 3, making John Kresse of Cobra Kai proud. Indiana won the first quarter by four points then went into halftime with an 11-point lead. At one point, they were up by […]

After a grueling seven-game series with the Denver Nuggets, the Oklahoma City Thunder carried the positive momentum into the Western Conference Finals and took care of business at home fairly easily. While I expected the Minnesota Timberwolves to play well at home in Game 3, to quote Caine from Menace II Society, “Damn, I never […]

In the bottom of the seventh inning, with the game tied at 3, Miguel Andujar ($3,300) entered the batter’s box with two on and two out. Andjur took the first pitch for a strike, an 84 mph sweeper that was low-and-inside. The second pitch was an 85 mph sweeper. This one also came inside but […]

When Team USA played hockey against the Soviet Union in Lake Placid, New York on February 22, 1980, the spread in talent between the two teams was Grand Canyon-esque. The Soviet Union consisted of professional players and had won the gold medal in five of six prior Winter Olympics. The USA squad was littered with […]

OKC thoroughly dominated Game 1, shooting 50% from the field and 52.4% from downtown while holding Minnesota to 34.9% and 29.4% from beyond the arc. The largest lead was 26 points and it scored 34 more points in the paint. Game 2 was closer from a statistical standpoint, as both teams shot sub-30% from downtown. […]

The Indiana Pacers went into MSG on Wednesday and did the unthinkable and strutted back to their hotel with a 1-0 series lead. How would the Knicks respond on Friday? Quite well, as they led by two points after one quarter then went into halftime with a three-point lead. Unfortunately, an NBA game is four […]

Brandon Nimmo ($3,800) collided into the wall in the second inning after chasing down a flyball. He was then taken out of the game due to a stiff neck. Prior to exiting, Nimmo struck out in his only plate appearance. Jeff McNeil ($3,500) was the substitue. Nimmo has played in all but two games this […]

MacKenzie Gore ($8,600) was cruising Friday against the San Francisco Giants. Through six innings, he allowed only one earned run on two hits while walking three and striking out nine. He threw 91 pitches. Unfortunately, he was removed after throwing a pitch then grimacing. Gore’s first fastball of the day was 95.3 mph. On his […]
