With a particular affinity for advanced statistics and sabermetrics, he’s been covering DFS Baseball, Football and Basketball for DraftKings dating back to 2018. We’re so back. Yes, the NBA technically returned last night at 10:00 p.m. ET in Los Angeles with a single game between the Lakers and the Hornets, but things truly get back to normal on Thursday thanks to a nine-game featured NBA slate. Here are three players you need to be getting into your DraftKings […]

According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, Bucks forward Bobby Portis is set to be suspended 25 games due to violating the league’s anti-drug policy. The report broke Thursday morning. Milwaukee has 29 contests left in the regular season, including this evening’s matchup against the Clippers. If Portis’ suspension begins immediately, the veteran would be cleared to […]

Both Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey missed the 76ers’ final game prior to the All-Star break, yet the duo is not listed on the team’s injury report for Thursday’s tilt with the Celtics. As has often been the case with Philadelphia’s 2024-25 season, it’s been an eventful few weeks for the franchise. Embiid returned from […]

Last season’s National League Cy Young Award was pretty cut and dry — as it should have been. After leading all qualified pitchers in both leagues in ERA (2.38), FIP (2.09), strikeout rate (32.1%) and fWAR (6.4), Chris Sale received 26 of a possible 30 first place votes. In all honesty, it probably should have […]

While hitting on a late-round pick feels nice, there’s nothing more important in fantasy baseball than hitting on your first couple of picks. It truly seems like the quickest way to derail your entire season is whiffing in the first or second round on a player that is supposed to be the anchor of your […]

The Super Bowl is over. The NBA All-Star Game has also passed us by. Spring is officially around the corner, people, and that means one thing: Baseball. Camps opened up last week and, if you’re anything like me, you’ve been reviling in the grainy cell phone videos of pitchers throwing for the first time or […]

Here’s a quick word problem for you: If every team in the NBA played on Wednesday and 10 teams then play on Thursday, how many teams are on the second leg of a back-to-back set this evening? The answer is all 10. It’s going to be another wacky slate. Let’s go through everything you’ll need […]

We got the news we were all anticipating around 2:00 p.m. ET. With the Pelicans on the second leg of a back-to-back set on Thursday, Zion Williamson has been ruled out due to reconditioning. The former first-overall pick has yet to play in both games of a back-to-back in 2024-25. Heck, he’s only appeared in […]

Remember the last day of school before summer vacation? How it wasn’t really school, but just pure madness? That’s sort of the vibe I’m getting from tonight’s five-game NBA slate. Every team is on the second leg of a back-to-back set. Every player wants to get to the All-Star break. It’s going to get weird. […]

Let’s give some props to DraftKings for timing, right? On Tuesday, as pitchers and catchers around the league were reporting to Spring Training, MLB Best Ball returned to the contest lobby. Baseball is back, friends. Let us celebrate. For anyone unfamiliar with MLB Best Ball, here’s a quick tutorial. You draft a team of 20 […]

To say that Deandre Ayton gets injured a lot would be an understatement. Unfortunately for the Trail Blazers, that sentence is once again relevant. After exiting Monday night’s lopsided loss to the Nuggets with a calf issue, the team has determined that the former first-overall pick will miss at least the next four weeks. Ayton […]
