Sort of wild to think we’re already at the halfway point of the NFL regular season. Like always, all of football has absolutely flown by.
But we’re still here grinding away on Sunday morning making lineups. Why? Because nothing’s better. Let’s dig through the price tags on this 11-game featured slate on DraftKings and find a value play at QB, RB and WR.

NFL DFS Value Picks: Best Cheap DraftKings Plays for Sunday in Week 9
Daniel Jones, Indianapolis Colts vs. Dallas Cowboys, $4,700
The Cowboys just conceded 188 passing yards and three touchdowns to Gardner Minshew ($4,500) in less than a half of football. At this point, anyone with a pulse and a functioning rotator cuff is viable against this secondary — which is a low enough bar for Daniel Jones to clear. An Achilles injury and the loss of Alec Pierce (heel) haven’t helped matters, but Jones has looked like the Giants version of himself so far in 2026, throwing nine interceptions to only five touchdowns. Fortunately, Dallas ranks dead-last in the NFL in defensive EPA per play, and it’s not as if its faced a murderer’s row of quarterbacks, as the Cowboys have drawn the likes of Marcus Mariota, Jalon Daniels and Tanner McKee. This is purely a matchup play, but with Jones’ price this far below $5,000, there’s so little risk.
Ollie Gordon III, Miami Dolphins vs. Detroit Lions, $5,600
In a tier where most people are going to go with Tyler Algeier ($5,400), Quinshon Judkins ($5,400) or Jonah Coleman ($5,300), I like the pivot to the slightly more expensive Ollie Gordon. While the Lions have surrendered the fifth-fewest FPTS per game to opposing RBs, this is still a defense that ranks 31st overall in EPA per play. It’s an underwhelming unit that continues to be distressed by injuries, and it’s a matchup that Gordon and the Dolphins should be able to take some advantage of, especially with rookie Kadyn Proctor (concussion) trending towards a return in Week 9. I mean, it’s one of three games on this slate with an implied total over 50 points. That’s always a good place to start. There’s no doubting Gordon’s volume at this point, either. Across his last four starts, the sophomore RB is averaging 17.8 carries and 15.8 FPTS per contest. It’s a stretch where Gordon’s managed two 100-yard rushing performances and three touchdowns. Not too shabby at all.
DeMario Douglas, New England Patriots vs. Green Bay Packers, $4,800
Despite being basically the last man standing amidst the Patriots’ usual pass catchers, Douglas wasn’t exactly peppered with targets in last week’s narrow win over the Dolphins. Still, a 48-yard touchdown was enough to make the former sixth-round pick viable, as he finished with 16.6 FPTS. While that doesn’t feel like the most stable way to live as a DFS asset, it is sort of becoming the norm for Douglas, who is starting to thrive as a big-play threat. In fact, since Week 5, Douglas ranks seventh among qualified wideouts in FPTS per touch (3.88) and top 10 in overall FPTS (66.0) — and that’s while only averaging 5.0 targets per contest. A.J. Brown (ankle) didn’t practice this week and has been ruled out again, while Hunter Henry ($4,500; foot) is up in the air, so it appears that Douglas will be option No. 1 for Drake Maye ($7,000) yet again on Sunday. The reigning AFC Offensive Player of Month needs someone to throw to, and at the moment, that man is Douglas.
