Check out my best bet below for Keiichiro Nakamura vs. Ollie Schmid at tonight’s UFC Fight Night.
Keiichiro Nakamura to Win by KO/TKO/DQ (-175)
Schmid, a New Zealand native, trains at the well-known gym City Kickboxing, which has produced UFC Champions such as Israel Adesanya and Carlos Ulberg. Schmid made his UFC debut in May, where he suffered a first-round knockout loss to Marwan Rahiki. Before that, Schmid won three consecutive bouts, including two knockouts.
Nakamura competed in the Road to UFC tournament from May 2025 to January 2026. He went 3-0 in the tournament and won the Road to UFC Championship at UFC 325 by knocking out Sebastian Szalay in the third round. Even though he has prior experience under the UFC banner, tonight’s fight against Schmid marks Nakamura’s official UFC debut.
On DraftKings Sportsbook, Nakamura is a -355 favorite, while Schmid is a +280 underdog. This fight has an over/under of 1.5 rounds, with the over at -130 and the under at +100. Schmid has a four-inch height advantage (6’0″ vs. 5’8″) and is slightly taller than Nakamura (71″ vs. 70″).
Although both fighters are talented strikers, I give the edge to Nakamura, as he has much more momentum lately. With seven of Nakamura’s eight wins coming by knockout, I’m taking Nakamura to win by KO/TKO/DQ at -175.
