Seattle Seahawks vs. Kansas City Chiefs prediction, pick for NFL Week 7 on Sunday 10/25/26

Updated:

By: Dan Johnson

Kansas City running back Kenneth Walker III returns to Lumen Field as the reigning Super Bowl MVP and the NFL’s leading rusher, having trampled five opponents for 665 yards. Seattle has lost two straight while their defense keeps dragging the offense back into games. Walker comes home carrying an unbeaten team. Below is my preview, prediction, and pick for this week’s NFL game between the Seattle Seahawks and the Kansas City Chiefs.

Here’s how I’ll play it. I’ll be pumping out these predictions for individual games all season, with plenty of coverage here on DraftKings Network. Follow my handle @dansby_edits for more betting plays.

Seahawks vs. Chiefs prediction, preview

After surrendering two early touchdown drives to Denver, Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald’s defenders regrouped and forced seven straight punts. The Broncos scraped together only two first downs for the rest of regulation. Across six games, Seattle has surrendered eight completions of at least 20 yards, two runs of that length and 3.5 YPC. Macdonald makes opponents crawl downfield.

Chiefs head coach Andy Reid has increasingly put quarterback Patrick Mahomes under center, pairing Walker’s handoffs with play action. Mahomes opened last week with a 31-yard throw to receiver Xavier Worthy; Walker shed seven tackles while rushing for 128 yards. Macdonald may have to confront that combination without edge defenders DeMarcus Lawrence and Uchenna Nwosu and safety Nick Emmanwori, all questionable.

Mahomes still has to survive behind replacement tackles. Undrafted Chiefs rookie Kahlil Benson continues at left tackle; reserve Joshua Ezeudu is expected to replace injured right tackle Jaylon Moore. Receiver Rashee Rice remains out. Kansas City converted three of ten third downs against the Chargers and stranded another long drive at the one-yard line. Seattle has held quarterbacks to 4.7 YPA and 157 passing yards per game. Mahomes must beat that coverage while his replacement tackles fight to keep him upright.

Seattle quarterback Sam Darnold has absorbed five sacks against San Francisco and five against Denver, where the Broncos ended three separate second-half possessions by dropping him on third down. Seahawks right guard Anthony Bradford returns, but running back Zach Charbonnet remains out. Lead back Emanuel Wilson needed 14 carries for 52 yards last week; Kansas City has conceded the fifth-fewest runs of ten-plus yards. Darnold should face plenty of consequential passing downs again.

Chiefs vs. Seahawks pick, best bet

Seahawks receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba caught twelve passes for 134 yards against Denver and has cleared the injury report. He keeps winning despite the wreckage around him. Chiefs defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo’s secondary has conceded just 6.1 YPA and four passing touchdowns through five games. Chiefs cornerback L’Jarius Sneed remains questionable. Spagnuolo’s rush broke a three-game sack drought with four sacks against the Chargers’ battered line; his secondary has defended the pass far more consistently.

Seattle scored at least 29 points in four straight games before Denver; Darnold, who threw two interceptions last week, could also hand Kansas City short fields. Both Seattle touchdowns against San Francisco followed takeaways, however. Against Kansas City’s tackling, Smith-Njigba will need repeated catches to sustain drives; Walker faces a defense that has repeatedly denied explosive runs. I expect both offenses to advance, then lose too many third downs to finish enough possessions for 43 points.

Best bet: Under 42.5 points (-110).

Projected score: Chiefs 20, Seahawks 17.

Best Bet: Seahawks vs. Chiefs u42.5 total points scored (-110)
