First Touchdown Scorer Prop Bets for Chiefs vs. Seahawks on Sunday Night Football

This feels like it has the makings of a Super Bowl preview, although that’s not going to be the case if Sam Darnold (+2800) keeps playing like he did last week.

In any event, a Sunday Night Football matchup between the Chiefs and the Seahawks is a fun one, and millions will be gathered around the TV to watch it go down.

As such, let’s break down the first touchdown scorer odds and market for this primetime affair on the DraftKings Sportsbook. Heck, let’s even make a couple of picks. Don’t say I never did anything for you.

Chiefs vs. Seahawks First Touchdown Scorer Picks

Kenneth Walker III First TD Scorer (+450)

While I will certainly acknowledge that there isn’t a lot of value in picking Kenneth Walker III to score this game’s first touchdown, he’s incredibly deserving of his status as the favorite in this field. In fact, Walker’s current role with the Chiefs is downright McCaffrey-esque — and I’m talking peak Christian McCaffrey, too. Walker enters Week 7 sitting fourth in the NFL in red zone rushing attempts (26), while additionally sitting first in the league with a 95.0% share of his team’s carries inside the 10-yard line. If that wasn’t enough, Walker also happens to be the No. 1 option for Patrick Mahomes (+2500) in high-leverage situations, leading Kansas City in red zone targets through six weeks (6). With Rashee Rice (hamstring/knee) sidelined once again, Walker should remain the Chiefs first, second and third-best weapon near the goal line against the Seahawks.

AJ Barner First TD Scorer (+1800)

Unfortunately, the Seahawks’ red zone offense is about as heliocentric as the Chiefs, with Jaxon Smith-Njigba (+750) leading the league in target share inside the 20-yard line (47.8%). However, if there was ever a time for AJ Barner to step up, it would be in this matchup with Kansas City, as the team’s defense has been slaughtered by opposing tight ends all season long. In fact, the Chiefs are surrendering 11.4 targets per game to the position — the second-most of any squad in the NFL. While some of this distinction is having played Brock Bowers and Michael Mayer in Week 4, know that the likes of Evan Engram, Tyler Warren and Ian Thomas have already found the end zone versus Kansas City. For his part, Barner caught six touchdown passes last year. It’s about time he gets his first receiving touchdown this season.
