We have our first huge slate tonight, tipping off at 7 PM ET between the Bucks and the Wizards. The Kings and Clippers will close out our 11 game slate at 10:30 PM. With a ton of discounts on stars’ lines, we’ll be actively attacking some of these picks given our opening-week opportunity.
There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in the action this evening in Pick6 Fantasy Basketball! This article will look at my top Pick6 plays for tonight’s slate. We simply choose whether a player will record more or less of the set statistic. Here are my favorite plays for today’s action.
Luka Doncic More than 27.5 points
Getting Doncic at a discounted 27.5 points for our first big slate of the year is a blessing. This is an appealing spot against a depleted Warriors rotation. Doncic averaged a massive 33.5 PPG last season on 22.8 FGA and 10.1 FTA, giving him plenty of ways to reach 28 without needing a huge shooting night.
Golden State will be without Jimmy Butler, Moses Moody, and Brandin Podziemski, leaving fewer options to throw at the Lakers’ primary creator who seemingly cannot be covered. With that kind of volume and a four-point discount from his standard line, projecting Luka to get More than his 27.5 is my favorite pick here.

Austin Reaves More than 23.5 Points
We’ve seen what Reaves can do when he gets usage. With LeBron James’ departure to the Sixers, Reaves has free rein to take on a true number two role. Without LeBron last season, Reaves averaged 24.9 PPG and scored at least 24 points nine times while playing with Doncic. He averaged 16.2 FGA and 8.1 FTA in those appearances, clearing this threshold consistently despite shooting only 33.7% from three.
Golden State will be without Jimmy Butler, Moses Moody, and Brandin Podziemski tonight, leaving fewer perimeter options to handle the Lakers’ two creators. Reaves’ ability to supplement his shooting with trips to the stripe makes More than 23.5 points an appealing target.

Andrew Nembhard Less than 6.5 assists
Nembhard’s career-high 7.7 APG last season came with Tyrese Haliburton sidelined for the entire season. Haliburton returns against New Orleans tonight, which should shift more – if not most – of the offense back into his hands and move Nembhard toward the secondary role in which he averaged 5.0 APG in 2024–25.
T.J. McConnell’s absence complicates things, since Nembhard could still handle the offense when Haliburton sits. Even with that extra responsibility, it seems like Nembhard won’t be asked to shoulder the offensive creation nearly as much this season.

Tyrese Haliburton More than 15.5 points
Haliburton hasn’t looked shy about shooting as he works his way back. He attempted 14 field goals in each of his final two preseason games, scoring 24 points in 18 minutes against Oklahoma City and 17 in 20 minutes against Milwaukee. That willingness to shoot matters more than simply clearing this line in two exhibitions, especially with his workload still in question. Haliburton averaged 18.6 PPG and shot 38.8% from three in his last healthy season, and the discounted 15.5-point line leaves some room for a quieter return against New Orleans that helps us hedge against some possible minutes restriction as he eases his way back into true game shape.
