To close out a busy Sunday of NFL action, the Kansas City Chiefs host the Indianapolis Colts in an important AFC matchup. Both teams are looking to make a playoff push, but the Colts fell to 0-1 with a loss to the Ravens, and they’ll need to knock off the 1-0 Chiefs to push both teams to 1-1 on the year. On DraftKings Sportsbook, Kansas City is favored by six points at home in this matchup, which carries a total of 46.5 points. For a full breakdown of the matchup, check out our Colts vs. Chiefs prediction and pick.

Below, I break down my favorite Rashee Rice prop bet for Sunday night’s matchup, focusing on his receiving yards line against Indianapolis.

Rashee Rice Receiving Yards Prop Bet vs. Colts

Rashee Rice 51+ Receiving Yards (-114)

This Week 2 matchup is a classic place to buy the dip in Rice’s receiving yards props. He is still clearly the team’s top receiver and should be able to return to his regular role in Week 2, making this receiving yards prop very achievable.

In Week 1, Rice only had two targets, catching both of his chances for a total of just 19 yards. The 26-year-old from SMU still ran 29 routes and played 57 snaps (83%), the highest percentage of any receiver. The game plan in Week 1 was definitely quick passes and a heavy dose of Kenneth Walker III, but in Week 2, Rice should be able to get more involved.

Rice played eight games last year, averaging 71.4 yards per game and even lighting up the Colts for 141 receiving yards in the Chiefs’ 23-20 OT victory. In 2024, he only played three full games before injury, posting at least 75 yards in each of those games. As a rookie, he played 16 games in 2023 and went over this prop line in nine of his final 10 regular-season games.

Week 1 looks like an outlier, and getting such good odds for just 50 yards is a great way to cash in on a return to normalcy for Rice and the Chiefs’ offense in Week 2 against the Colts. In Week 1, the Colts allowed 153 receiving yards to Zay Flowers, the Ravens No. 1 WR, and also gave up 50+ yards to Chris Moore on just one big play.

Rice has the big-play ability to hit this prop all at once, and a return to his regular role will make this a very reachable number for him on Sunday night.
