Magic vs. Suns NBA Player Prop Bets for Thursday 11/5/26

All 30 teams were in action on Monday as part of that night’s gigantic NBA slate, and on Wednesday, 28 of those teams took the court again.

Fans of the Orlando Magic and the Golden State Warriors had to wait an extra day to see their teams play, but tonight, the Magic will travel to face the Phoenix Suns for a 9 p.m. ET clash in the desert.

Both teams have significant injury concerns; Paolo Banchero (ankle), Jonathan Isaac (knee), Izaiyah Nelson (ankle), Noah Penda (hamstring), and Jalen Suggs (knee) are all out for the Magic, and Rasheer Fleming (ankle), Jordan Goodwin (calf), and Mark Williams (hamstring) are all out for the Suns.

The game is more or less a toss-up, with Phoenix -117 on the Moneyline and Orlando -101 at DraftKings Sportsbook. The point total is set to 222.5.

Below, I’ll break down my favorite prop bets from tonight’s matchup, choosing one player from each team.

Magic vs. Suns Player Prop Bets

Devin Booker 26+ Points (-105)

Booker is coming off of a 33-point effort against the Portland Trail Blazers last night, and all in all, he’s scored at least 26 points in three of his last five games. Although he’s technically averaging the third-fewest points per game of his career, that speaks more to his year-to-year consistency than anything, and his numbers this season are heavily skewed by a three-point performance against the Oklahoma City Thunder on October 26. Given how poor Phoenix’s other starters (especially Jalen Green and Khaman Maluach) have been, the Suns might be best-suited asking Booker to tick his usage back up towards his 30.3% career average.

The Magic have been one of the best defensive teams in the NBA over the past few seasons, allowing the fewest points per game in 2024/25 and the 13th-fewest last season, but they’ve allowed the 11th-most points per game so far in 2026/27. That’s not a total coincidence; they were 6.8 points per 100 possessions defensively last season with Suggs on the court and 4.5 points per 100 possessions better in 2024/25. Plus, Orlando is working on adapting to new schemes on both sides of the ball under head coach Sean Sweeney, so the fact that it has required an adjustment period isn’t surprising.

Wendell Carter Jr. 9+ Rebounds (-131)

Carter has had nine or more rebounds in five of his seven games this season, so this is pretty solid value. He should continue to play heavy minutes with Banchero and Isaac (both of whom have previously played some small-ball center minutes) out and backup center Nikola Vučević off to a slow start. All in all, Carter is averaging the third-most rebounds of his career, and he ranks 12th in rebound chances per game league-wide. He hasn’t even had it easy; of all players averaging at least 15 rebound chances per contest, his boards have been contested at the fifth-highest rate.

That’s especially good value against Phoenix, which has allowed the seventh-most rebounds per game this season. With Williams injured, second-year center Khaman Maluach has been a weak link, and he, Green, and Miles Bridges have all made fewer than five-eighths of their shots from within five feet. Maluach’s backup, Oso Ighodaro, has been somewhat better as a finisher, but he’s been less effective on the glass, with a defensive rebounding percentage 12.2 percentage points lower. I expect Carter to force lots of Maluach misses when he’s in the game and to physically overpower Ighodaro otherwise.
