The UFC is back at the Meta Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, for another episode of Dana White’s Contender Series! This is the fifth episode of the show’s 10th season. Each week, 10 fighters go head-to-head, not only trying to win but also to impress the UFC brass. Below is everything you need to know about Dana White’s Contender Series Season 10, Week 5, including the start time, how to watch, and the full card.
This week’s episode of DWCS is headlined by a Light Heavyweight showdown between Quentin Pasley vs. Arlind Berisha. Berisha is 5-0 with five knockouts, while Pasley is 3-0 with three knockouts. Although both fighters are early in their professional careers, they have excelled as amateurs as well. Berisha is a -166 favorite with Pasley being a +140 underdog on DraftKings Sportsbook.
Two rising Welterweight prospects, Isaac Moreno and Reginaldo Junior are facing off in the co-main event of this card. Moreno, who is undefeated at 8-0 also has won his previous three fights by knockout. Junior from the Fighting Nerds is 11-1 with nine finishes and is in the midst of a five-fight winning streak. Moreno is a slight favorite at -135 with Junior as a +114 underdog.
Martin Kozak is facing Christian Echols in a three-round Middleweight matchup on this card. Echols, who is a +400 underdog, weighed in Monday at 189 pounds, four over the Middleweight limit. The fight will still go on as Echols will forfeit a percentage of his purse. But Kozak is a -535 favorite for great reason as he is 24 with a 6-0 record, all coming by finish. Echols, 28, is 8-4 with eight finishes in his career.
Kwon Won Il is returning to Dana White’s Contender Series for his second appearance on the show. He suffered a loss against Juan Diaz in his last fight on DWCS and will look to get back in the win column against Apollo Gomes, who is 12-2 with nine finishes. Won Il is a -125 favorite with Gomes being a +105 underdog on DraftKings Sportsbook.
Week 5 of Dana White’s Contender Series kicks off with a Flyweight fight between Colton Loud vs. Christian Natividad. Natividad has a perfect undefeated record of 9-0 with all nine wins coming in the popular regional promotion, LFA.
