BREAK IT DOWN:
(Stats taken from DraftKings Sportsbook’s Stats Hub)
Yordan Alvarez 1+ Home Run (+239)
Yordan Alvarez got his 30th homer of the season on Friday, going 2-for-4 in the series opener at Globe Life Park. The public is backing him to get another dinger on Saturday night as he takes on Kumar Rocker. Rocker has given up a homer to Alvarez in their past meetings, and he has allowed nine homers in his 17 starts this year while going 2-7 with a 3.95 ERA. Lefties like Alvarez have hit seven of the nine dingers off Rocker. On the other side of the matchup, Alvarez has excellent splits against righties like Rocker, with 22 of his 30 home runs on that side of his splits. He has five homers in his last nine games with a 58.1% hard-hit rate and 19.4% barrel rate over that span.
Kyle Schwarber 1+ Home Run (+218)
Schwarber and the Phillies are getting ready to host the All-Star festivities this weekend, and Schwarber will be looking to drop some Schwarbombs at the Home Run Derby this Monday. He is the only player in the majors with more homers than Alvarez, setting the pace for the league with 32 long balls on the year. He’ll face Casey Mize at Comerica Park on Saturday night, looking for home run No. 33, and the public thinks he’ll be able to get it off Mize and the Tigers. Schwarber is 0-for-5 against Mize in his career, and lefties like Schwarber have only hit one homer against Mize in 150 at-bats this season. The public isn’t scared of those splits, though! Schwarber has smashed seven homers in his last 19 games, and he has the potential to leave the ballpark in any matchup if the pitcher makes a mistake.
Shohei Ohtani 1+ Home Run (+224)
In the final game of the night, the public is also getting behind Shohei Ohtani to hit a home run as the Dodgers look to bounce back after losing on Friday night to the Diamondbacks. Ohtani homered in the loss and has three homers in his last four games to get to 21 dingers on the season. While his total is behind his pace from the last few seasons, he has hit 10 of those homers in his last 25 games. Of those 21 homers, 12 have been at Dodger Stadium and 13 have been against right-handed pitchers. He’ll face righty Brandon Pfaadt in Saturday night’s matchup, and Pfaadt has let lefties hit .303 against him on the season with seven homers, a .392 wOBA and a .263 ISO as a result of a 12% barrel rate. Ohtani is 4-for-18 against Pfaadt with a home run in their past meetings as well, so there are lots of reasons to like his chances of hitting another homer on Saturday.
3-Pick Same Game Parlay
Taking three of the most-bet player props individually is always an option, but why not roll them into a same-game parlay (SGP) and get in on all the action at once? It’s a fun way to tie everything together — feel free to tag along.
