The New York Knicks have officially ruled OG Anunoby out for the Game 4 matchup against the Philadelphia 76ers due to his hamstring strain. Anunoby was listed as questionable leading up to the matchup, but head coach Mike Brown told reporters that the former NBA champion will be sidelined today during his pregame availability.
Anunoby first tweaked the hamstring issue in the final minutes of the Game 2 victory. New York took the same approach leading into Game 3, listing him as questionable throughout the day before ruling him out pregame. The Knicks have made a clear effort to downplay the extent of the hamstring injury and continue to label him as day-to-day. Especially with New York already out to a 3-0 series lead and Anunoby’s past hamstring issues in mind, it makes sense to be cautious with the impact wing.
New York had no trouble cruising to a 108-94 victory in Game 3 without him, and will attempt to do the same today.
The Knicks enter the Game 4 matchup as narrow 1.5-point favorites on DraftKings Sportsbook and hold -120 odds of winning outright. Philadelphia holds +100 odds to pull off the upset, with the game total set at 214.5.
