The Spurs and Timberwolves continue their second-round series with Game 2 in San Antonio on Wednesday. The Timberwolves hold a 1-0 series lead after winning Game 1 on Monday. On DraftKings Sportsbook, the Spurs are a 10.5-point favorite for Game 2 and the contest carries a total of 216.5 points.

San Antonio Spurs ML (-410)
The Spurs tying this series with a home win tonight feels inevitable. In their 104-102 Game 1 loss on Monday, the Timberwolves held Victor Wembanyama to just 11 points. This simply isn’t going to happen again and the superstar should lead the Spurs to a win tonight in front of the San Antonio faithful. Wembanyama had scored 29 and 36 points in his previous two matchups vs. Minnesota before Game 1.
The Spurs are 28-6 since the All-Star break, and during the playoffs, San Antonio owns a +11.2 net rating, compared to +4.2 for the Timberwolves. Furthermore, the Spurs are a league-best 17-5 after a loss and are 34-10 at home. San Antonio at -9.5 is tempting, but Minnesota is 5-2 ATS this postseason, so playing it safe with Spurs ML in this SGP is smart.
De’Aaron Fox O 5.5 Assists (-120)
Fox has topped 5.5 assists in all but one of his six starts this postseason, including six assists in Game 1 vs. the Timberwolves. The guard peaked with nine assists in the Game 5 win over the Trail Blazers and is leading the Spurs with 10.8 potential assists per game during these playoffs.
Fox has a 12-assist showing vs. Minnesota on his resume this season and is averaging 6.6 assists per game on his home floor, compared to 5.8 on the road.
Devin Vassell 10+ Points (-293)
Vassell has scored double-digit points in 10 of his last 12 games, including all six games of the Spurs’ playoff run. The wing finished with 14 points on 5-of-11 shooting in Game 1 vs. the Timberwolves and scored 22 points in his lone outing vs. Minnesota in the regular season, albeit with Wembanyama inactive.
Vassell is averaging 34.3 minutes per game in these playoffs, which is a notable increase from his 30.5 average in the regular season. The veteran could be a lock to reach 10+ points in this pivotal game for the Spurs.
Rudy Gobert U 7.5 Points (+102)
In his three matchups vs. the Spurs this season, Gobert has scored eight, two and seven points, with that final outing being Monday’s Game 1. The big man is only averaging 7.6 PPG with an 11% usage rate this postseason and has fallen short of 7.5 points in four of his seven games.
Gobert’s job is to play defense and rebound, not to score. With the unanimous Defensive Player of the Year in Wembanyama guarding him, Gobert should do very little offensively again tonight.
