The San Antonio Spurs look to defend home court Monday night, hosting the Minnesota Timberwolves for Game 1 of the Western Conference semifinals at the Frost Bank Center.

The Spurs dispatched the Portland Trail Blazers in five games in the first round. They’ll lean on superstar big man Victor Wembanyama to set the tone against the Timberwolves, who are fresh off Thursday’s Game 6 victory over the Denver Nuggets without Anthony Edwards. The star guard is expected to rejoin the lineup on Monday.

Tipoff is set for 9:40 p.m. ET. San Antonio enters as a 9.5-point home favorite with -345 moneyline odds. Minnesota counters as a +275 underdog, with the game total set at 220.5 points.

Ahead of Game 1, let’s dive into the top Victor Wembanyama prop bet on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Best Victor Wembanyama Prop Bet for Timberwolves vs. Spurs Game 1

Victor Wembanyama Under 39.5 Points + Rebounds (-115)

Victor Wembanyama’s playoff career tipped off in dominant fashion, with the Spurs breezing past the Blazers in five games. San Antonio looks to keep the momentum rolling Monday night, though the superstar big man will likely have trouble reaching his lofty combined points and rebounds (P+R) line.

Wembanyama, 22, averaged 36.6 P+R across his first three full playoff games, excluding his early exit in Game 2. He cleared 39.5 P+R only once during the series, with his 35 points in Game 1 doing much of the heavy lifting, alongside his five boards.

The newly crowned Defensive Player of the Year also struggled to top this prop line throughout the regular season, accomplishing the feat in just 24 of his 64 outings, or 38% of the time.

On the other side, Minnesota’s frontcourt — anchored by Rudy Gobert — successfully hindered superstar Nikola Jokic in its opening-round triumph. Considering the Timberwolves’ defensive brilliance and overall interior presence, Wemby should also run into some trouble as he attempts to stuff the stat sheet in the second round.
