After a jam-packed day of basketball on Sunday, NBC’s Sunday Night Basketball features the New York Knicks hosting the Golden State Warriors at Madison Square Garden in New York City. If you’re looking to lock in some player prop bets for this 8:00 p.m. ET tipoff, let’s spotlight a few strong options to consider for your betting card for this Warriors-Knicks matchup.
In the big picture of this matchup, the Knicks are heavy 14.5-point home favorites on DraftKings Sportsbook, with a game total of 219.5 points.
The Knicks have been excellent at MSG this season, going 23-9 at home and 43-25 overall so far this season, which is good enough for the No. 3 spot in the Eastern Conference. They’re coming home after a five-game road trip, going 3-2 overall and finishing with wins in Utah and Indiana. The Warriors have dropped four straight games, including losses to the lowly Jazz and Bulls, and they are just 3-9 in their last 12. They are still in the No. 9 spot in the Western Conference, but they don’t have much momentum as they chase a spot in the Play-In Tournament.
On the injury report, the Warriors listed a massive nine players. In addition to Jimmy Butler and Steph Curry, the Warriors will be without Moses Moody, Kristaps Porzingis, Draymond Green, Al Horford, Seth Curry and De’Anthony Melton. Quinten Post is also questionable on top of all that. The Knicks are relatively healthy, especially comparatively, with Josh Hart and Jeremy Sochan as probable and only G League players questionable.
Warriors at Knicks Best Prop Bets
Karl-Anthony Towns 20+ Points (+110)
Towns is averaging exactly 20.0 points per game this season, and he has reached at least 20 points in each of his last three games against the Lakers, Clippers and Jazz. He sat out Friday with bilateral knee soreness, but he is not on the injury report and should be ready to return against the Warriors.
KAT has at least 21 points in 10 of his last 11 games with the Knicks as the favorite. He’s averaged 25.7 points in his last nine regular-season games against Golden State, and he scored at least 20 points in three of his last four matchups against the Warriors.
After a few days off, he should be fresh and ready to go against Golden State, and even if it gets lopsided, he should be very involved in the Knicks building the lead.
Brandin Podziemski o2.5 3PM (+112)
With so many injuries for the Warriors, Podziemski is going to have to carry a huge workload against the Knicks. He is averaging only 1.8 3PM (three-pointers made) per game on the season, but he has been picking up his production lately.
Pod Racer has knocked down three or more threes in each of his last four road games. He also made five three-pointers in the team’s home loss to the Timberwolves on Friday.
In his last eight games, Podziemski is averaging 2.9 3PM per game, and he has gone over this prop line in six of those eight contests. He has been getting plenty of usage with so many other players out, and he will likely get plenty of three-point attempts again on Sunday night.
Gary Payton II o9.5 Points (-102)
The Warriors will need scoring from players besides Podziemski as well, and Payton has been chipping in good numbers lately. “The Mitten” won’t be intimidated by playing at MSG, and his tough defense should result in plenty of minutes against the Knicks.
The veteran wing missed a couple of games with an ankle injury earlier this month, but he has scored double-digit points in each of his last three games and eight of his last 10.
In his last game, he had 12 points in 19 minutes against the Timberwolves, but with so many other players out in this game, it’s hard to see him playing less than 25 minutes Sunday night.

Brunson has grabbed at least four rebounds in four straight games and six of his last eight. He’s averaging exactly 3.5 rebounds per game on the season and 3.5 rebounds per game at home, but with his recent trend, he should be able to grab at least four rebounds in this favorable matchup as the Knicks come home.
