Fallout is officially back on Amazon Prime Video, with season two premiering last week. While the season will continue into the New Year, the adaptation of the blockbuster video game franchise will be a staple on TVs worldwide through the end of 2025.

When does Fallout S2E2 come out?
After dropping all eight episodes of season 1 at once, Prime Video has pivoted to weekly releases for season 2. And despite routinely leaning on three-episode premieres for The Boys, Gen V, Invincible and their other blockbuster shows, Prime Video went with a one-episode premiere for Fallout season 2.
Season 2, episode 2 will drop on Wednesday, December 24 at 3 a.m. ET. The episode is titled “The Casino” and will likely have a runtime of around one hour.

A significant figure of the main cast did not appear in episode 1, but the teaser for episode 2 suggests that hiatus is over. Here is a quick look at who could show up moving forward:

What to expect in Fallout S2E2
In the series premiere, Lucy and The Ghoul were slowly tracking Hank to Las Vegas. They survived a run-in with some bandits, despite Lucy attempting to show as much mercy as possible. The duo also stopped by a vault full of corpses who had been brainwashed into becoming communists, with the help of an implanted mind control device. We got a look at an early version of that device before the war, when Robert Edwin House tested it on some blue collar workers who didn’t want to get replaced by robots. Hank left one brainwashed man behind in the vault to warn Lucy to go home, but he met the same fate as the construction worker. After it controls a person’s actions, it also relives them of their head in explosive fashion.
In additional flashback scenes, we saw a pre-Ghoulified Cooper grapple with his wife’s involvement in the impending nuclear disaster. He met up with Kate Williams, who directed him to follow his wife to Vegas and spy on House. So in both timelines, the Ghoul is on a crash-course with House.
Back at Vault 31, Norm is still trapped with a brain on wheels threatening to let him starve. Rather than getting in his dad’s old cryopod on waiting out the apocalypse, however, Norm decides to release all the Vault-Tec executives who were slated to get unfrozen once every 30 years. Maybe they can help him escape, or maybe Norm’s plan could make things worse. Vault 32 and Vault 33 are already under Vault-Tec exec control, with Betty and Steph already oppressing Reg and Chet.
We will also get to see what Maximus has been up to last season, even though it has presumably only been a few days. A Brotherhood revolution appears to be in the works, but the rest of that plot line remains pretty mysterious. Hank is also in Vegas, ready to get to work on some kind of master plan to prove himself to House and what remains of Vault-Tec.
