2025 NFL Week 8 Fantasy Football Scoring Leaders: Jonathan Taylor, Jordan Love, Tucker Kraft

Updated:

Before you set your fantasy football lineups for your upcoming matchup, it’s time to take a look back at which players performed the best in Week 8.

Waiver wire heroes Kimani Vidal and Oronde Gadsden II showed out on Thursday Night Football, while the main slate featured explosions from Jonathan Taylor and James Cook. Then, on Sunday Night Football, Jordan Love emerged as QB1, thanks in large part to his connection with Tucker Kraft on National Tight Ends Day.

Following Monday Night Football, here is a roundup of the players who led their respective positions in fantasy points during Week 8:

(Note: Go here for a full breakdown of DraftKings fantasy scoring for NFL.)

Quarterback Scoring Leaders

  1. Jordan Love (GB): 31.3 points
  2. Drake Maye (NE): 27.3 points
  3. Justin Herbert (LAC): 26.3 points
  4. C.J. Stroud (HOU): 25.7 points
  5. Jalen Hurts (PHI): 25.4 points
  6. Patrick Mahomes (KC): 24.96 points
  7. Bo Nix (DEN): 24.8 points
  8. Joe Flacco (CIN): 24.3 points
  9. Tua Tagovailoa (MIA): 24.2 points
  10. Josh Allen (BUF): 23.2 points

Facing off against Aaron Rodgers, Jordan Love strung together his best performance of the season on Sunday. Love went 29-for-37 through the air, at one point completing 20 passes in a row. He turned those into 360 yards and three touchdowns without turning the ball over once. The Packers trailed 19-14 heading into the final quarter, but Love’s poise helped lift Green Bay – and surely plenty of fantasy owners – to a comfortable win.

Running Back Scoring Leaders

  1. Jonathan Taylor (IND): 40.4 points
  2. James Cook III (BUF): 36.6 points
  3. Saquon Barkley (PHI): 36.4 points
  4. Breece Hall (NYJ): 35.9 points
  5. Chase Brown (CIN): 25.5 points
  6. RJ Harvey (DEN): 24.1 points
  7. Kimani Vidal (LAC): 22.7 points
  8. De’Von Achane (MIA): 20.1 points
  9. Derrick Henry (BAL): 19.1 points
  10. Javonte Williams (DAL): 17.9 points

On a day where Christian McCaffrey and Bijan Robinson fell flat, Jonathan Taylor was his typical, dominant self. On just 14 touches, Taylor went for 174 yards and three touchdowns. It marked his fourth hat-trick this season, and his second against the Titans this year. Taylor, whose 80-yard touchdown in the second quarter was the highlight of the afternoon, hardly played in the fourth after giving his team a 31-point lead.

Wide Receiver Scoring Leaders

  1. Troy Franklin (DEN): 26.9 points
  2. Rashee Rice (KC): 25.5 points
  3. Michael Pittman Jr. (IND): 23.5 points
  4. Rome Odunze (CHI): 21.4 points
  5. Ja’Marr Chase (CIN): 21.1 points
  6. Jaylen Waddle (MIA): 20.9 points
  7. Khalil Shakir (BUF): 20.8 points
  8. Ladd McConkey (LAC): 20.8 points
  9. Xavier Hutchinson (HOU): 17.9 points
  10. Roman Wilson (PIT): 17.9 points

In most weeks, Troy Franklin probably would have been stashed on most owners’ benches. But with Bye-Mageddon looming large, Franklin slid up plenty of fantasy depth charts. The second-year wideout proceeded to torch the Cowboys’ secondary, turning eight targets into six catches, 89 yards and two touchdowns. It marked the second multi-touchdown game of Franklin’s career and his second double-digit fantasy performance in a row.

Tight End Scoring Leaders

  1. Tucker Kraft (GB): 36.3 points
  2. Travis Kelce (KC): 21.9 points
  3. Oronde Gadsden II (LAC): 18.7 points
  4. Harold Fannin Jr. (CLE): 18.4 points
  5. Dallas Goedert (PHI): 17.8 points
  6. Kyle Pitts Sr. (ATL): 14.9 points
  7. Mason Taylor (NYJ): 14.4 points
  8. George Kittle (SF): 14.3 points
  9. David Njoku (CLE): 13.7 points
  10. Gunnar Helm (TEN): 10.3 points

National Tight Ends Day wasn’t as friendly to the position as it had been in recent years, until Tucker Kraft came through in primetime. He nearly doubled the fantasy output of the next highest-scoring tight end, serving as Jordan Love’s security blanket and favorite red zone target. Kraft caught seven of nine targets and took them for 143 yards and two touchdowns.
