2025 NFL Week 1 Fantasy Football Scoring Leaders: Josh Allen, Derrick Henry, Zay Flowers

Before you set your fantasy football lineups for your upcoming matchup, it’s time to take a look back at which players performed the best in Week 1.

Jalen Hurts and Javonte Williams were the biggest standouts in the opener on Thursday, while Patrick Mahomes and Quentin Johnston starred in Brazil on Friday. Then, once the rest of the league joined in on the action on Sunday, Josh Allen and Derrick Henry surely helped some managers notch wins.

Here is a roundup of the players who led their respective positions in fantasy points during Week 1:

Quarterback Scoring Leaders

  1. Josh Allen (BUF): 38.76 points
  2. Justin Fields (NYJ): 29.52 points
  3. Daniel Jones (IND): 29.48 points
  4. Lamar Jackson (BAL): 29.36 points
  5. Justin Herbert (LAC): 27.92 points

Josh Allen’s heroics on Sunday Night Football did more than help the Bills stage a historic comeback over the Ravens. Between his production on the ground and through the air, Allen was the only quarterback to clear 30 fantasy points, coming close to a 40-piece. Expectations were high for the reigning MVP, and he cleared them nonetheless.

Derrick Henry’s late fumble may have spoiled the Ravens’ season-opener – and brought him under 30 fantasy points on the night – but his explosive performance still served as a reminder that the veteran is as elite as ever. He scored 30- and 46-yard touchdowns, highlighting the former with a signature stiffarm, not to mention his 49-yard carry in the second quarter. Even at age 31, it doesn’t seem like King Henry is anywhere closer to his cliff just yet.

Wide Receiver Scoring Leaders

  1. Zay Flowers (BAL): 28.1 points
  2. Keon Coleman (BUF): 25.2 points
  3. Quentin Johnston (LAC): 24.9 points
  4. Emeka Egbuka (TB): 23.6 points
  5. Puka Nacua (LAR): 23.1 points
  6. Deebo Samuel (WAS): 22.6 points
  7. Garrett Wilson (NYJ): 22.5 points
  8. Michael Pittman (IND): 20.0 points
  9. Hollywood Brown (KC): 19.9 points

Early in Sunday night’s high-profile showdown, it looked like Flowers might get fazed out thanks to the Ravens’ big lead and dominance on the ground. Lamar Jackson kept looking his way, though, as he wound up leading the team with nine targets. Nobody else on Baltimore had more than two catches, while Flowers had seven – including one on a bubble screen he took to the end zone from 23 yards out.

Tight End Scoring Leaders

  1. Juwan Johnson (NO): 15.6 points
  2. Brock Bowers (LV): 15.3 points
  3. Tyler Warren (IND): 14.9 points
  4. Dalton Kincaid (BUF): 14.8 points
  5. Sam LaPorta (IND): 13.9 points
  6. Harold Fannin Jr. (CLE): 13.6 points
  7. Kyle Pitts Sr. (ATL): 12.9 points
  8. Travis Kelce (KC): 12.7 points
  9. Noah Fant (CIN): 12.6 points
  10. George Kittle (SF): 12.5 points

For Saints fans, Johnson’s dropped touchdown in the final seconds spoiled whatever else he accomplished in the previous 59 minutes of action. But for the fantasy players who started him, Johnson’s 76 yards and eight catches on 10 targets before that play were more than enough.

Defense/Special Teams Scoring Leaders

  1. Denver Broncos: 16.0 points
  2. Indianapolis Colts: 14.0 points
  3. Chicago Bears: 13.0 points
  4. Los Angeles Rams: 12.0 points
  5. Jacksonville Jaguars: 12.0 points
  6. Green Bay Packers: 11.0 points
  7. San Francisco 49ers: 10.0 points
  8. Las Vegas Raiders: 9.0 points
  9. Tennessee Titans: 9.0 points
  10. New Orleans Saints: 9.0 points

The Broncos were among the first defenses to come off the board in most fantasy drafts, and they showed exactly why on Sunday. Going against a rookie quarterback never hurts, either, as Denver sacked Cam Ward six times and held Tennessee’s offense to 133 yards. Allowing zero touchdowns and recovering two fumbles is always a recipe for success.

Kicker Scoring Leaders

  1. Spencer Shrader (IND): 16.0 points
  2. Chris Boswell (PIT): 15.0 points
  3. Cam Little (JAX): 15.0 points
  4. Joey Slye (TEN): 15.0 points
  5. Ka’imi Fairbairn (HOU): 14.0 points
  6. Tyler Loop (BAL): 13.0 points
  7. Matt Prater (BUF): 12.0 points
  8. Brandon Aubrey (DAL): 11.0 points
  9. Harrison Butker (KC): 11.0 points
  10. Nick Folk (NYJ): 10.0 points

In a week that featured plenty of valuable kickers, Shrader took the top spot thanks in large part to the Dolphins’ inept offense and the blowout nature of the contest. The Colts didn’t need to be aggressive late, considering they took a 20-0 lead into halftime. Shrader’s two second-half field goals came off a Tua Tagovailoa interception and a failed Miami onside kick.
