The Philadelphia Phillies have won eight straight games and haven’t suffered a defeat in 10 days. The Phillies beat the Athletics 4-3 last night and will look to take a 2-0 series lead tonight at 10:05 p.m. ET.
Bryce Harper has a .271 batting average, eight home runs, and 32 RBIs this season, but has started to heat up recently. Here is my favorite prop bet for Harper against the A’s tonight.
Bryce Harper over 2.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-110)
Even though Harper is coming off a game in which he didn’t record a hit, run, or RBI, it is doubtful that this happens two games in a row. Harper has hit this mark in five of his previous seven games, and you can get him at -110 on DraftKings Sportsbook to do so again tonight against the A’s.
In the last week, Harper is batting .407 with 11 hits, seven RBIs, and three runs. Harper has started to find his MVP groove and has orchestrated the Phillies’ incredible stretch. In May, Harper has a .321 batting average, a massive increase from .223 in April. Yes, Harper hasn’t reached this total in hits, runs, and RBIs over the last two games, but he hasn’t had three straight games without hitting this mark since the beginning of May.
The Phillies only won by one run last night, but their offense should improve in the second game of the series. The A’s have lost 10 straight games while allowing seven-plus runs in six. The Athletics give up 5.67 runs per game to opposing teams, the fourth worst in the MLB. This is an excellent opportunity for Harper to get back on track against the A’s at Sutter Health Park, which only holds a little over 10,000 fans.
