People don’t just watch the WNBA because of Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark — they watch it because of Angel Reese too. Reese and Clark got into it in a heated battle during their teams’ season opener, and to be fair, the eyes were on the Chicago Sky center as well as Clark.
Reese made a splash last season as a rookie, finishing as the WNBA’s leader in rebounds, and she’s off to a hot start this season, having recorded 17 boards (seven offensive) in the season opener. She’ll hope to better that tonight in Chicago’s home opener at 8 p.m. ET against the reigning champion New York Liberty.
The Sky are 12-point underdogs at DraftKings Sportsbook, with the point total set for 164. Below, I’ve detailed my favorite prop bet centered around Reese.

Angel Reese 15+ Rebounds (+140)
Frankly, it’s pretty easy to rack up rebounds when you primarily camp out in the paint and shoot five-for-14 from the field, and Reese did in the season-opening game. She snagged 15 or more rebounds in 11 of her 34 starts during her rookie season, when she shot just 161-for-403 (40.0%) from two-point range, and she’s shown no signs of improving as a post scorer, although she seems to be experimenting with a three-point shot early in the season. But finishing is even harder against a star-studded roster that allowed just 32 points in the paint in its season-opening game and was also fairly solid in the category in 2024. Both of the Liberty’s bigs — two-time MVP Breanna Stewart and 2021 MVP Jonquel Jones — were named to the WNBA All-Defensive teams last season. New York’s opponents shot just 59.3% from the restricted area last season, the second-worst mark in the league.
That shouldn’t stop Reese from getting rebounds, though; neither Stewart nor Jones, despite their interior defensive prowess, were particularly elite individual rebounders. Despite standing six-foot-six, three inches taller than Reese, Jones only managed 9.0 boards per game last season, and Stewart averaged 8.5. Reese’s 14.4% offensive rebounding percentage led the league by nearly three percentage points, and her total rebounding percentage was 4.4 percentage points better than Jones’. In their season-opening win over the Las Vegas Aces, the Liberty gave up 41 total rebounds, including 16 to A’ja Wilson, so it’s not at all far-fetched that Reese could grab 15.
