The NASCAR Cup Series Goodyear 400 at Darlington is on Sunday and DraftKings is offering a new way to play fantasy NASCAR. The game is simple. Build a “Pick Set” (2+ drivers) and decide if they will outperform their stat projections. William Byron: Fast Laps – 25.5
Pick6 Play: Less
Kyle Larson, Tyler Reddick, and Denny Hamlin receive all the attention at Darlington. They’ve earned it. Byron deserves respect, too. He’s a past winner and an annual contender at “The Track Too Tough to Tame.” Homestead is the closest comparable track, and Byron could have been in the mix to win that race last month if not for a mistake on pit road in Stage 3. That being said, there’s a reason the spotlight isn’t on Byron. Darlington is too tough to tame—and that’s not just a marketing gimmick. Piling up fast laps isn’t easy. Only a few can and will run the wall. On top of that, tires wear out, and strategies differ. With parity across the board, unique strategies are becoming common in 2025. Byron could easily cycle out of the lead or lead while others are on fresh tires and racking up fast laps.
Chase Briscoe: Finishing Position – 11.5
Pick6 Play: Better
Practice is important, but it’s just practice—it’s not the race. Briscoe hated his car in practice. That’s not good, but it’s only practice. That’s why NASCAR has practice. The No. 19 JGR Toyota Crew Chief, James Small, will get the car dialed in. Briscoe will get dialed in, too. This is Darlington. The Lady in Black is never comfortable. Everyone hates their car. Everyone will have a hard time on Sunday when the near 90-degree temperatures turn “The Track Too Tough to Tame” into a treacherous intermediate track. Briscoe will be driving on Crisco, but he’s tamed the track before. He won the 2024 Southern 500 and finished fifth in the spring race. That was with lackluster SHR equipment.

Create a Pick Set
Create a Pick Set by choosing at least two players from the same sport and Pick Group (a set of picks available from a group of set competitions). For each player, simply select if you think they’ll have more or less than their listed stat projection. In each Pick Set, you can not pick the same player twice and you must pick players from at least two different teams.
Enter an Amount
Once you finalize your Pick Set, choose your entry fee amount. Your entries will be automatically distributed into available contests, subject to your confirmation.
Sweat Your Picks
When the games go live, use the My Picks tab to follow your picks in real time to track how your players are performing against their projections and how they stack up against other users.
Compete for Prizes
Make enough correct picks and win a share of the contests’ guaranteed prizes. Any prizes won will be credited to your DraftKings account after contests are finalized.
