UPDATE: On Wednesday, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported that Ball will be re-evaluated in one week with a left ankle sprain.

UPDATE: Ball will not return.

With a tick under nine minutes left in the second quarter of Monday’s game against the Los Angeles Lakers, Ball drilled a step-back three-pointer but rolled his ankle after backpeddling into Jarred Vanderbilt. He was able to exit the court under his own power and the limp wasn’t excessive, but Ball still made his way to the locker room.

Prior to exiting, Ball contributed seven points, one assist and one steal in nine minutes. Vasilije Micic would be the replacement for Ball if he’s unable to continue.
