Malik Monk, Sacramento Kings at Brooklyn Nets ($7,000): Monk has truly blossomed in his eighth NBA season. Once known purely as a microwave scorer off the bench, Monk has become an integral starter for the Kings due primarily to his playmaking ability. Last season was the first in which he averaged at least 5.0 assists per game, and he’s proving it was no fluke with 5.7 assists per game this season. Over the last 10 games, Monk is averaging 23.5 points, 3.4 rebounds, 7.9 assists and 1.7 steals per game. That’s translated to at least 40 FPTS in eight of those games with two over 50 FPTS. Brooklyn has been 24th in defensive rating over the last 10 games.

Braun has put up over 30 FPTS 11 times this season and has scored at least 20 points in three of the last four games.

He’s put up at least 30 FPTS in five of those six games with a high of 60.25 FPTS. Now he faces a Wizards team that has been fourth in pace and 28th in defensive rating over the last 10 games. Maxi Kleber was lost to injury as well, so the minutes should be very secure.

He’s primarily on the court due to defense, but he was given a five-year, $131 million extension because of his ability to contribute on offense as well. He’s scored double-digit points 24 times with six of those coming in his six most recent games. Over the last six games, he’s contributed at least 24 FPTS in all with four over 30 and a high of 50.5 FPTS.

Rudy Gobert may have had something to do with it, but Jokic went for 65.75 FPTS in an earlier meeting against Minnesota. Things happen, and it was just one of those nights. Jokic still has the highest floor/ceiling combo in the game, and that 39.25 FPTS performance was only the fourth time Jokic failed to contribute at least 50 FPTS on the season. On the upper end, Jokic has gone over 70 FPTS 18 times with four over 90! L. O. L.

Zach Edey, Memphis Grizzlies at New York Knicks ($4,800): It’s been a process for both Edey and the Grizzlies this season, as he has been adjusting to the NBA game while the Grizzlies are learning how to best utilize the big man. Over the last two games, something has clicked, as Edey has played 24 and 28 minutes, finishing with 39.25 and 39.75 FPTS. He had been playing in the high-teens prior to that. Now, there’s a chance Karl-Anthony Towns plays him off the floor due to ability to make it rain from downtown, but Edey could also do some damage on the other end of the court.
