Beginning with Cowboys-Giants, Simplebet has broken down some notable trends centered around first-drive bets to help NFL bettors get results early in Week 4 on DraftKings Sportsbook.
Thursday
Dallas Cowboys at New York Giants
1st NY Giants Drive Result Grouped: Offensive Score +210
At least one thing has been consistent with the Cowboys to start the season. The Browns, Saints and Ravens each scored on their first offensive drive of the game vs. Dallas.
That bodes well for the Giants, who have been much more efficient offensively to start games after their rough opener. Across all first-half drives between Week 2 and 3, New York scored 55% of the time.
Sunday
Washington Commanders at Arizona Cardinals
1st WAS Commanders Drive Result Grouped: Offensive Score +125
Washington has been extremely efficient offensively the last two weeks.
The Commanders scored on each completed drive (excludes drives that end as a result of the clock) against the Giants (seven field goals) and Bengals (five touchdowns and one field goal).
Also, the Cardinals just allowed their Week 3 opponent (Detroit) to score on three of four first-half offensive drives.
Kansas City Chiefs at Los Angeles Chargers
Rashee Rice Catch a Pass in 1st KC Chiefs Drive: Yes -140
The Chargers’ secondary is going to be a bit thinner in Week 4 with Derwin James serving out his one-game suspension. Not that Rice needs any help.
The Kansas City receiver isn’t just the Chiefs’ leading pass-catcher. Through the first three weeks, Rice leads the entire NFL in receptions. And in each of KC’s first three games, he has logged a reception on his team’s first offensive drive.
Buffalo Bills at Baltimore Ravens
1st BUF Bills Drive Result: Touchdown +245
For the third week in a row, Buffalo will be playing in prime time. In the two prior prime-time spots, the Bills scored a touchdown on 80% of their 10 completed first-half drives. (An 11th drive cut short by the clock.)
Monday
Seattle Seahawks at Detroit Lions
Tyler Lockett Catch a Pass in 1st SEA Seahawks Drive: Yes +150
In each of Seattle’s first three game-opening drives, Lockett has been targeted. Across those opportunities, he has logged a catch in two of those drives.
Plus, Lockett will be up against a Lions team that is 12th in receptions allowed.
