There were some big moves in the college football futures market after Week 2. Here is a look at the updated picture at DraftKings Sportsbook.

Notre Dame: -360 to +350 to make the playoff
Notre Dame was involved in one of the most shocking college football upsets in a long time. After picking up the biggest win of Week 1 against Texas A&M, the Fighting Irish lost to Northern Illinois at home as 28-point favorites.
Notre Dame had a really easy schedule after its tough opening game, so when they pulled out that win, they shot up to -360 to make the playoff. However, this devastating loss pushed them all the way down to +350 to make the playoff. They still have a chance to make the playoff if they win out the rest of the way, but that now seems pretty unlikely since this offense has major issues.
Verdict: Sell- Notre Dame’s defense led its impressive win in Week 1, but after Riley Leonard’s performance against NIU, it is clear this team has a bad offense. The Irish need to go undefeated the rest of the way to have any chance of making the playoff and it is hard to see them beating USC at this point, let alone every other game on the schedule.
Texas: +750 to +500 to win the national championship
Quinn Ewers: +1400 to +600 to win the Heisman
Texas was the biggest winner of the weekend. They were favorites heading to Michigan for the biggest game of the weekend but most people thought it would be a tough game against the defending national champions on the road.
However, Texas dominated from start to finish and got a convincing win. Frankly, it was more confirmation that Michigan is not very good this year but Quinn Ewers also played great for Texas. Texas moved up in the national title picture but the bigger jump was for Ewers to win the Heisman. He is now the betting favorite to win the award after Week 2.
Verdict: Buy- Texas is legit. Ewers was great and the new Texas wide receivers proved they can live up to last year’s elite group. The Longhorns’ defense was also really impressive. Michigan prides itself on its offensive line play and run game, but the Texas front seven totally shut them down all game.
Colorado: +1200 to +3500 to make the playoff
Shedeur Sanders: +2200 to +8000 to win the Heisman
For the second straight season, Colorado had a flashy Week 1 win that rocketed its odds to make the playoffs and Shedeur Sanders’ Heisman odds up the board. However, they came back to Earth even quicker this season with a really bad loss against Nebraska.
The Cornhuskers were favored to win the game at home, but it was a complete dismantling of Colorado, and the game was over by halftime. This game was a big indicator that Colorado would not be able to compete in the Big 12, so its odds of making the playoff plummeted. It was also a really poor game by Sanders so his Heisman odds dropped dramatically.
Verdict: Sell- If you read last week’s edition, then I told you to sell Colorado when they rose up the odds board after its win. I am telling you to do so again. This team might be worse than last year’s Colorado team, and the noise off the field is even worse than last season, so things could get ugly for the Buffaloes if they’re not careful.
Oregon: +750 to +1100 to win the national championship
Dillon Gabriel: +800 to +1100 to win the Heisman
Oregon won a close game against Boise State on Saturday night after surviving in Week 1 against Idaho. Despite being 2-0, people are losing faith in Oregon after two close wins against inferior teams. Dillon Gabriel was the betting favorite to win the Heisman before the season started and after Week 1. However, he dropped behind multiple guys down to +1100 to win the award.
Oregon is still projected to be a playoff team, but its odds of winning the national championship have fallen significantly. It is still undefeated and controls its own fate, but it has a lot of things to fix before its big game against Ohio State in October.
Verdict: Buy- If you like this Oregon team, now is the time to buy. They don’t look perfect but this is a really talented team. They dominated Idaho in the box score despite it being a close game, and Boise State is arguably the best Group of Five team in the country.
Oregon needs to improve its offensive line play, which has been dealing with early season injuries, and get more disciplined on defense. However, this is still a real national title contender and you can get them at much better odds than before the season started.
