Which Couples Get Married in the Love Is Blind Season 11 Finale?

The Love Is Blind Season 11 finale is in the books, and there’s good news and bad news.

The bad news: Two couples split before Wedding Day, while a third made it to the altar only for one partner to say no. The good news? One couple did tie the knot, meaning Season 9 remains the franchise’s only season without a finale wedding.

So, which couple got married, and what happened to everyone else? Here’s the full breakdown.

Which Couples Get Married in the Love Is Blind Season 11 Finale?

Sarah and John are the only couple who got married in the Love Is Blind Season 11 finale.

How to watch Love Is Blind

Episodes from this and previous seasons are available to stream on Netflix.

What happened in the Love Is Blind Season 11 Finale?

We went into the Season 11 finale with four couples remaining. Here’s what happened with each couple as they made the decision about whether love is truly blind and if they were ready to say “I do.”

Erika & Blake

DID THEY GET MARRIED: No

The season finale picks up with this couple rehashing the same argument they’ve been having since getting back to Boston: What will their future look like and where will they live? Blake notes that he’s about to go on a long transatlantic trip and she has several weeklong work trips coming up. With the reality of their situation crashing down on her, Erika notes that if they want to stay together they have to see each other, to which Blake goes back to his default of trying to convince her to buy into his lifestyle, which means coming to St. Thomas and getting on somebody’s boat for a week so he can teach her how to sail and what her future life could entail.

Erika is not having it. She doesn’t want to work on a boat, she doesn’t want to go to St. Thomas and she doesn’t want to be in limbo. With all of that out in the open, the question becomes: Do they even stay together? Do they kick the can down the road on the wedding and just stay engaged? The problem of being able to see each other remains, and ultimately it’s too much to overcome.

Blake admits he doesn’t want to let her go, but he also doesn’t want to hold her back either. He doesn’t want her to feel held hostage while he sails around for weeks on end. Erika finally says it: She can’t say yes and the best thing to do is leave the experiment, which Blake admits it’s probably the right move.

Wilnie & Wilson

DID THEY GET MARRIED: No

Heading into the finale, I said that Wilson and Wilnie seemed to have lost all their spark and remained apart on several important fronts. I had my doubts, and those doubts proved well-founded: After their respective bachelor and bachelorette parties this couple fell apart before they could reach the altar.

Once again, issues around affirmation and household roles were at the forefront. Wilson feels that when they got out of the pods, Wilnie got everything he promised and then some. He’s not feeling the same, however, as despite doing things for her, she’s not reciprocating. Specifically around cooking and cleaning. Wilnie contests this, specifically when he claims to be cooking together when in reality he’s playing video games and occasionally saying something needs more seasoning. Both sides appear dug in and the conversation is going around in circles.

Wilson feels like he thrives in situations where the positive energy is high, which Wilnie points out that working long days outside of the home it’s hard for her to be at his energy level. Furthermore, she points out that she’s always affirmed him in every way all the time. Wilson feels like he fell in love with a different person in the pods and thus it’s hard for him to reach a level of romance and affection when he promised it to what feels like a different person that he proposed to.

It becomes clear that Wilson and Wilnie are both carrying baggage (in Wilson’s case literally, as he mentions carrying her suitcases in the airport) from throughout their time since the reveal and it becomes clear that Wilson is right when he says that marriage just isn’t for them. Wilnie is clearly hurt by the tenor of this conversation, saying they felt like an attack on her as person and a woman, and she didn’t feel like it was fair to her. And she DOES NOT want to hear the old it’s not you speech, which seems to perturb Wilson. And on her end, Wilnie says her mom did not come to America and work hard for her identity to be “work and take care of a man.”

This couple definitely ended on less than ideal terms and how they interact at the reunion will be interesting to see.

Aneha & Cam

DID THEY GET MARRIED: No

At the very least Aneha and Cam made it to Wedding Day. Unfortunately, when they got to the altar Aneha couldn’t say “I do.”

The day doesn’t get off to the best start when Aneha admits that her parents would prefer she not get married and her sister breaks down fearing that Aneha is leaving her. It also doesn’t help when Aneha’s sister wonders aloud whether Cam, who she thinks is a good person, is Aneha’s person. When asked, point blank, Aneha’s sister says she would not be happy if Aneha says yes to Cam and says she thinks Cam likes Aneha, but doesn’t love her. Aneha straight up asks her sister what she wants her to say on the altar and she is unequivocal: Say no.

On Cam’s end, he’s excited and anxious, ready to see Aneha in her wedding dress and feel that love. He’s not taking the decision lightly, and the question of whether her family is opposed to the cameras and the experiment or Cam himself. It’s clearly an aspect of this wedding that is weighing on both sides and which feels like it would have been extremely difficult to overcome.

After one last encouragement from her sister to say what’s in her heart, Aneha walks down the aisle and is clearly feeling a bit overwhelmed, although she seemingly recovers quickly. Despite saying glowing things about Cam and how he makes her feel, Aneha is unable to say yes and she needs more time. That being said, she still believes Cam is her person and she walks back down the aisle saying he’s still her fiancé. But like Wilson shaking his head in the crowd, I’m not so sure about that.

She says Cam isn’t as communicative in the real world as he was in the pods and at 28 isn’t husband material and needs more time, but has the makings of a great husband. She can’t imagine her life without him, but what’s next for them is an open question as Cam tells Aneha he needs some time to process everything, including whether he wants to stay together as a couple.

Sarah & John

DID THEY GET MARRIED: Yes

Following the implosion of Michaella and Rob, this feels like the most likely couple to get married (for better or worse).

To that better or worse end, Sarah says she and John have talked about everything from how they would want to raise kids to politics, but as her Mom points out by asking how he feels about COVID, some hurdles do remain. She acknowledges that he has a skepticism about the healthcare system, but with his MS he went from not trusting the system to needing it. Sarah’s mom is happy they’ve been able to have those conversations, but many people avoid those types of conversations. Sarah says she would rather have someone who cares and wants to talk than someone who doesn’t and doesn’t want to talk about it.

It is a bit of a red flag when she notes that John leads with distrust whereas she tends to lead with positive intent. It’s also something of a red flag when she notes that he’s concerned that as a consumer of politics, Sarah will want to come home and talk about it all the time. To Sarah’s credit, however, she says she made it clear that she won’t be changing that aspect of herself and if John doesn’t like it he can walk away now. But more red flags pop up, such as John saying single women over 30 are “problematic.” But despite all this, Sarah doesn’t want to change him as a person.

Seeing all the red flags, Sarah’s friends remind her that it is OK for her to choose herself and decide that a marriage to John isn’t for her. Sarah is reminded that she shouldn’t say yes because she feels bad or is worried about hurting his feelings. For those of us with concerns about John, it’s easy to read the lines a bit here and see that perhaps members of Sarah’s inner circle have concerns as well. But ultimately, the decision is hers and hers alone.

John says this marks the end of a chapter and a turning of the page, with an excitement about his future with Sarah, who he says makes him happy. He notes that the stressful situations they’ve been through have made them turn toward each other and find strength rather than turn them away from each other. He’s nervous, but confident and says he doesn’t have a shred of doubt — he even says his dad being able to make the wedding despite suffering a collapsed lung is a sign it was meant to be. He can’t wait to be married to Sarah.

John is 99.9 percent sure Sarah is going to say yes, and it turns out that he’s right that he had nothing to worry about. In her vows she says she had never been so sure about someone, even without having ever seen him. She lists all the things she loves about him and says he brings out the best version of her. So it’s no surprise that when it comes time, and after John does the same, Sarah says “I do,” and the pair are husband and wife.

What is Love Is Blind?

Love Is Blind is a dating reality show hosted by Nick and Vanessa Lachey which is described as a “social experiment where single men and women look for love and get engaged, all before meeting in person.” The show debuted in 2020 and is entering its 11th season.

The singles on the show first interact through conversations with a wall between them in “pods,” where they form connections based on personality rather than looks. They can choose to remain open to other singles, become exclusive or even get engaged. Upon getting engaged, they will finally participate in a reveal with their new partner and go on a pre-honeymoon trip with other couples from the season. From there, they return to the real world and begin the march toward the wedding altar.
