DraftKings King of the End Zone Picks for Cowboys vs. Eagles Monday Night Football Game

DraftKings King of the End Zone Picks for Cowboys vs. Eagles Monday Night Football Game

Week 7 wraps up with an NFC East matchup at Lincoln Financial Field between the 2-4 Philadelphia Eagles and the 2-4 Dallas Cowboys. To make the matchup even more exciting, DraftKings Sportsbook is ready to roll with another massive King of the End Zone promotion on Monday.

This week’s King of the End Zone promo will award another massive $2 million in bonus bets. If you opt in to the token and place a singles bet of at least $5 on a player in a touchdown market and he scores the longest touchdown of the night, you win a share of the $2 million in bonus bets.

This season, DraftKings has had a King of the End Zone contest each week of the season. Here’s a rundown of the winners so far:

Who will add their name to that list this week, and how many bonus bets can you claim? Let’s run down some of the top plays for Week 7’s Monday Night Football version of DraftKings King of the End Zone.

King of the End Zone — What You Need to Know

The rules of the promotion are pretty simple. After opting in, bettors will receive a token to place on a singles bet with a $5 minimum in the “TD Scorers” market. If the player with the token scores the longest touchdown of the game, you will win a share of $2 million in bonus bets. The fewer people who have their token on that player, the larger the payout will be, so it’s important to balance out the popularity of the pick with the likelihood of it hitting. Taking a longer shot could land a massive payout, while picking a more obvious choice has a better chance of winning, even if the bonus bet payout is smaller.

Passing touchdowns are ineligible for this promotion, so if you want to pick Dak Prescott — for example — he’ll have to run it in himself for the longest score rather than pass for the touchdown. Despite not being an individual player, D/ST is eligible to become King of the End Zone if the longest touchdown comes on a defensive or special teams play.

King of the End Zone Preview & Picks | Monday, Oct. 26

Players with the shortest odds to score a TD:

  • Javonte Williams (-170)
  • Saquon Barkley (+100)
  • CeeDee Lamb (+120)
  • George Pickens (+170)
  • Dallas Goedert (+180)

King of the End Zone Picks for Monday, Oct. 26:

When making King of the End Zone picks, it’s important to consider players who are not only likely to score a touchdown but are also likely to score the longest touchdown of the game. Multiple touchdowns could be scored in the game, but longer touchdowns have a better chance of claiming the King of the End Zone win. It’s also important to balance the popularity of the player for the King of the End Zone tokens as well, since a user’s share of bonus bets is tied to how popular their pick was.

These three picks are my favorite balance of likelihood to score, potential to score a long touchdown, and not too much popularity.

1. Saquon Barkley (+100 Anytime TD)

Barkley doesn’t have a touchdown yet this season and is just returning from a hamstring injury that has kept him out of the last two games. He’s officially questionable, which may keep some people from backing him for King of the End Zone. If he does play, though, he makes sense to consider since he has a solid chance of doubling up your $5 minimum bet with a touchdown, even if he doesn’t have the longest touchdown of the night to claim the King of the End Zone title. In his career, though, Barkley has proven he can break free for plenty of long touchdowns, including this 65-yard play from last season.

Barkley could step right in as the focus of the offense since QB Tanner McKee will be making just his fourth career start. Barkley will also be in a very favorable matchup since the Cowboys rank seventh in rushing yards allowed per game, giving up 104.3 yards per game to running backs and sixth in rushing touchdowns allowed. Running backs have scored seven touchdowns against them in six games this season, so Barkley has a solid chance to get in the end zone if he plays through his questionable tag.

2. CeeDee Lamb (+120 Anytime TD)

Lamb has four touchdowns this season, but he has only scored one time in the last four weeks. Lamb gets plenty of attention in the Cowboys’ passing game, posting a 29.2% target share, which ranks in the top 10 in the NFL, and he has at least eight targets in all but one of his games this season. He had 18 targets last week, finishing with nine catches for 70 yards and no touchdowns in a loss to the Packers.

His most recent touchdown was a 12-yard score against the Texans in Week 4, which gave his team the lead late in that Texas-sized rivalry.

Lamb has scored five touchdowns in 11 games in his career against the Eagles, but he didn’t get into the end zone against them last season. The Eagles have allowed seven wide receiver touchdowns in their six games this season, including a two-touchdown game to Parker Washington two weeks ago in London.

With such a large target share and a history of making dynamic plays, Lamb is a strong play for King of the End Zone. As we’ve seen with Kittle, JSN, and Robinson this season, just because a player is “obvious” doesn’t mean that they don’t pay out nice bonus bets, so Lamb is worth a look as one of the best options this Monday.

3. Dallas Goedert (+180 Anytime TD)

The Eagles will be without top wide receiver DeVonta Smith (hamstring) and second receiver Dontayvion Wicks (ankle), which opens opportunities for receivers further down the depth chart, but it also could mean more targets for Barkley (if he plays) and tight end Goedert.

Goedert missed two weeks earlier this season with an injury, but he has 17 catches, including two touchdowns in his four games. Both of his scores came in Week 1, when he scored on a 17-yard catch and a 43-yard catch against the Commanders.

Last week in McKee’s first start of the season, Goedert had eight targets, which was second on the team behind only Smith. He hauled in six catches for 61 yards, and without Smith, he could get even more attention and opportunities to score this week. He’s not quite as mainstream as Lamb or Barkley, but he still has a good chance to find the end zone and return solid payouts if he earns King of the End Zone honors in Week 7.
