Do you have tough lineup decisions to make this Sunday? We’ve got you covered. Welcome to your Week 6 fantasy football cheat sheet for start/sit advice. In this article, we’ll highlight players to start and sit at each position along with fantasy rankings. Find Week 6 start/sit picks at QB, WR, RB and TE below.
Week 6 Start/Sit QB Picks
Start: Jordan Love vs. Cowboys
The Packers are still working to put all of the pieces together, but Jordan Love has looked like an evolved, more effective presence under center to open the year. Love has always flashed elite arm talent, but has often paired it with poor decision-making. That hasn’t been the case through five outings in 2026, as he’s racked up 10 passing touchdowns to just three interceptions.
Love has tossed two TDs in all five of his games, setting a solid fantasy baseline. His first real breakout performance of the year came against the Bears this past Sunday, as he completed 25 of 31 attempts for 367 yards and a pair of scores. The emergence of Christian Watson as a legitimate No. 1 has played a huge role in Love’s elevated production, and that should remain the case this week against Dallas. The Cowboys’ defense is once again porous, surrendering the fourth-most fantasy points to quarterbacks. Fire Love up as a strong QB1.
Sit: Tyler Shough at Giants
After three 21-point fantasy performances to open the season, Tyler Shough has come back down to earth in his last two outings. First, he put together a middling performance against Atlanta, before being held to a brutal 96 total yards and two picks against Minnesota.
This week’s matchup won’t be quite as difficult in New York, but Shough and the Saints’ offense are spiraling. It’s hard to trust a QB who put up negative points in his prior outing, reg6rdless of if he still ranks as QB11 on the year. Keep Shough on your bench until he showcases high-upside value once again.

Week 6 Start/Sit RB Picks
Week 6 RB Start: MarShawn Lloyd vs. Cowboys
The MarShawn Lloyd RB1 experience has been mostly a dud, but he is still a starting running back within a relatively productive offense, and that standing finally garnered some production last week. Lloyd rushed 10 times against the Bears and hauled in one pass for 37 yards. The efficiency continues to be lackluster, to say the least.
However, Lloyd did find the end zone twice, turning a zero outing into a PPR RB12 performance on the week with 16.7 points. He’ll follow up that showing against one of the NFL’s most favorable matchups, the Dallas Cowboys. Despite trying to revamp that side of the ball this offseason, it’s been a case of the same old struggles for Dallas. They’re surrendering the eighth-most fantasy points to RBs so far in 2026. If you’re in need of upside, Lloyd finally possesses it heading into this Week 6 clash.
Week 6 RB Sit: Woody Marks at Jaguars
Marks was one of (if not THE) most popular waiver wire additions this week following David Montgomery’s injury. The speedy change-of-pace back stepped into the lead role in Tennessee and put up solid numbers, recording 12.5 fantasy points. With Montgomery expected to miss time due to his groin injury, Marks is set to receive a significantly expanded workload. Against most teams, that should translate to production.
Not against the Jaguars.
Jacksonville has stymied opposing rushing attacks all season long, surrendering the third-fewest fantasy points to the position per contest. That’s not exactly a recipe for success for a backup stepping into a larger workload. Marks is a worthwhile stash for future matchups, but keep him on your bench in Week 6.

Week 6 Start/Sit WR Picks
Start: Keenan Allen vs. Titans
Daniel Jones needed someone to throw to, and Keenan Allen has been happy to oblige him. Sometimes, it really is that straightforward.
In the last two that games Allen has suited up for (he missed Indy’s Week 4 matchup) he has played a significant role, catching 11 of 18 targets for 108 yards and a touchdown. At 34 years old, Allen isn’t going to run by anyone at this point in his career, but he’s still one of the most polished route runners the league has ever seen, and that can always translate to production.
Allen draws the Titans this week, and Tennessee ranks in the top third of the league in fantasy points allowed to receivers. Fire the veteran up as a solid WR3/FLEX thanks to his floor.
Sit: Terry McLaurin at 49ers
McLaurin turned a Week 5 outing in which he was questionable to play into a productive performance, amassing 12.2 fantasy points against a solid Giants secondary. The veteran wideout has seemingly turned the corner after a frustrating start to the season, racking up at least 12 points in back-to-back games.
He may have a hard time adding another tally to that streak against the 49ers. San Francisco has been quite stout against the pass, surrendering the eighth-fewest fantasy points to receivers per contest. That trend should continue in Week 6. McLaurin is still a passable WR3/FLEX is absolutely needed, but there are likely better options out there.

Week 6 Start/Sit TE Picks
Start: Pat Freiermuth at Buccaneers
Don’t look now, but Muth is back on the fantasy map.
The veteran tight end has emerged as one of Aaron Rodgers’ favorite targets early in the 2026 season. He isn’t always going to rack up significant yardage, but Freiermuth has found the end zone three times over Pittsburgh’s last two games. That production almost certainly won’t continue at said rate, but Freiermuth does draw a favorable matchup in Week 6 against the Bucs. Tampa Bay has been vulnerable against tight ends, allowing the eighth-most fantasy points per game to the position. All of those factors are enough to bump Freiermuth into TE1 range this week.
Sit: Colston Loveland at Falcons
Following a Week 4 performance that gave fantasy managers optimism that Loveland was finally returning to form, he reverted into fantasy irrelevance against Green Bay. The dynamic playmaker hasn’t looked the part of that label in his second pro season, catching just 13 balls over five games.
Even if Caleb Williams (hamstring) returns in Week 6, it’s become impossible to trust Loveland until he carves out a role for himself in this passing attack again. There are better options at tight end for your fantasy lineups.
