WR Start/Sit Week 6: Fantasy Football Wide Receiver Picks

Updated:

By: Jeff Pratt

Looking for Week 6 WR start/sit picks? Here are the wide receivers to start and sit in your fantasy football lineups. WR is the position with the widest range of potential outcomes, as there are a multitude of variables that factor into a receiver’s weekly production. Following key injuries across the league through five weeks, most fantasy managers have difficult lineup decisions to make. Let’s break down my Week 6 fantasy WR start/sit picks.

Fantasy Football Week 6 WR Start/Sit: Wide Receiver Picks

Wide receivers to start: Rashod Bateman, Keenan Allen
Wide receivers to sit: Terry McLaurin, Jaylen Waddle

Week 6 WR Start: Rashod Bateman at Browns

Rashod Bateman, fantasy relevant receiver? I had to see it to believe it, but Bateman appears to be finally turning the corner into some semblance of consistency in his sixth pro season.

We all saw what Bateman was capable of with Zay Flowers out of the equation, but with the speedy Ravens No. 1 WR fully involved against Atlanta, it was his big-play counterpart who led the charge. Bateman racked up five catches for 62 yards, serving as Tyler Huntley’s top target. Regardless of if it’s Huntley or Lamar Jackson back under center this week, Bateman should keep the momentum rolling against a Browns defense that has allowed the 10th-most fantasy points to receivers per game. Fire him up as a WR3/FLEX with upside.

Week 6 WR Sit: Terry McLaurin at 49ers

McLaurin turned a Week 5 outing in which he was questionable to play into a productive performance, amassing 12.2 fantasy points against a solid Giants secondary. The veteran wideout has seemingly turned the corner after a frustrating start to the season, racking up at least 12 points in back-to-back games.

He may have a hard time adding another tally to that streak against the 49ers. San Francisco has been quite stout against the pass, surrendering the eighth-fewest fantasy points to receivers per contest. That trend should continue in Week 6. McLaurin is still a passable WR3/FLEX is absolutely needed, but there are likely better options out there.

Week 6 WR Start: Keenan Allen vs. Titans

Daniel Jones needed someone to throw to, and Keenan Allen has been happy to oblige him. Sometimes, it really is that straightforward.

In the last two that games Allen has suited up for (he missed Indy’s Week 4 matchup) he has played a significant role, catching 11 of 18 targets for 108 yards and a touchdown. At 34 years old, Allen isn’t going to run by anyone at this point in his career, but he’s still one of the most polished route runners the league has ever seen, and that can always translate to production.

Allen draws the Titans this week, and Tennessee ranks in the top third of the league in fantasy points allowed to receivers. Fire the veteran up as a solid WR3/FLEX thanks to his floor.

Week 6 WR Sit: Jaylen Waddle vs. Seahawks

Spoiler alert: this will be the first of multiple Broncos appearing as sits in this article.

Sean Payton reclaimed play calling duties from Davis Webb heading into a clash with the Chargers, and the veteran offensive mind did enough to secure the win, but not much more. In fact, one could argue that Justin Herbert and company beat themselves, which has become a recurring trend in 2026.

The start to Waddle’s Broncos tenure has been a mixed bag. The speedster broke out in Week 2, but has largely disappointed besides that performance. He hauled in only two balls for 19 yards against the Chargers, adding nine rushing yards as well. That doesn’t inspire confidence heading into a Week 6 clash against the Seahawks, who allow the fourth-fewest fantasy points to receivers. Keep Waddle sidelined until he and Denver’s offense show signs of life.

Those are my Week 6 WR start/sit fantasy picks. Stay tuned for more start ’em, sit ’em content over the rest of the week!
