Will Alvin Kamara bets be refunded after injury during Saints vs. Giants NFL Week 6?

Updated:

By: Zach Thompson

UPDATE: Alvin Kamara was able to return to the game after receiving medical attention, so his bets will settle as normal, unless he leaves later in the first half and does not return.

In the second quarter of Sunday’s matchup vs. the Giants, Saints RB Alvin Kamara left the game after taking a hard fall while trying to catch a pass from Tyler Shough. The pass was high and out of his reach, and Kamara landed hard on his hip before taking a knee after failing to reel in the catch. He was questionable for this game with a back injury and could have aggravated that issue or picked up a new injury.

Before heading to the medical tent, Kamara had two carries for two yards and did not catch his only target. If he’s unable to return, CJ Donaldson and Kendre Miller would likely get more work, since the three running backs were in a rotation replacing Travis Etienne Jr., who is on IR.

Will Alvin Kamara bets be refunded?

Thankfully for eligible Kamara prop backers on DraftKings Sportsbook, because he left the game in the first half due to injury and may not return, DraftKings’ Early Exit Protected rules will apply to qualifying wagers if he does not play the rest of the game.

Eligible single bets on Kamara will be settled as void, with the original stake returned if Kamara stays out. For qualifying parlays and Same Game Parlays, the Kamara selection will be voided, and the odds of the wager will be recalculated using the remaining legs.

Bets or selections that were already determined before Kamara’s injury may still be settled normally rather than receiving Early Exit protection.

DraftKings Early Exit FAQ

What is DraftKings Early Exit?

DraftKings Early Exit Protected is a free feature that automatically protects eligible NFL player prop bets during the first half. If an eligible player leaves during the first half because of an injury or officially confirmed illness and does not return, the qualifying selection is settled as void.

Which NFL bets are eligible for Early Exit?

Early Exit applies to eligible full-game NFL player props placed before the game, along with select eligible live bets. Qualifying wagers can include single bets, parlays and Same Game Parlays. In parlays, an eligible Early Exit selection is voided and the wager is recalculated using the remaining legs.

Is there a way to get injury protection on bets for the whole game?

Yes. DraftKings Early Exit+ is an optional feature that extends Early Exit protection into the second half of an NFL game for a fee equal to 3% of the wager amount. The fee is separate from the wager and is not refunded. You can upgrade to full-game protection without leaving your bet slip.
