Looking for Week 6 RB start/sit picks? Here are the running backs to start and sit in your fantasy football lineup. There have already been multiple key injuries at this position along with a mix of surprises from veterans and young players. This sets the stage for tough lineup decisions for every fantasy manager. Let’s break down my Week 6 fantasy football RB start/sit picks below.
Fantasy Football Week 6 RB Start/Sit: Running Back Picks
- Running backs to start: MarShawn Lloyd, Rhamondre Stevenson
- Running backs to sit: Woody Marks, RJ Harvey
Week 6 RB Start: MarShawn Lloyd vs. Cowboys
The MarShawn Lloyd RB1 experience has been mostly a dud, but he is still a starting running back within a relatively productive offense, and that standing finally garnered some production last week. Lloyd rushed 10 times against the Bears and hauled in one pass for 37 yards. The efficiency continues to be lackluster, to say the least.
However, Lloyd did find the end zone twice, turning a zero outing into a PPR RB12 performance on the week with 16.7 points. He’ll follow up that showing against one of the NFL’s most favorable matchups, the Dallas Cowboys. Despite trying to revamp that side of the ball this offseason, it’s been a case of the same old struggles for Dallas. They’re surrendering the eighth-most fantasy points to RBs so far in 2026. If you’re in need of upside, Lloyd finally possesses it heading into this Week 6 clash.
Week 6 RB Sit: Woody Marks at Jaguars
Marks was one of (if not THE) most popular waiver wire additions this week following David Montgomery’s injury. The speedy change-of-pace back stepped into the lead role in Tennessee and put up solid numbers, recording 12.5 fantasy points. With Montgomery expected to miss time due to his groin injury, Marks is set to receive a significantly expanded workload. Against most teams, that should translate to production.
Not against the Jaguars.
Jacksonville has stymied opposing rushing attacks all season long, surrendering the third-fewest fantasy points to the position per contest. That’s not exactly a recipe for success for a backup stepping into a larger workload. Marks is a worthwhile stash for future matchups, but keep him on your bench in Week 6.

Week 6 RB Start: Rhamondre Stevenson vs. Jets
TreVeyon Henderson truthers may have to wrap it up.
Yes, the speedy second-year back did suffer an ankle injury that could keep him sidelined for a while, but even with Henderson available, Rhamondre Stevenson has owned the Patriots’ backfield. As long as the veteran holds onto the ball, he’s one of the most solid, dependable RBs in the league. Stevenson racked up his second-straight game with at least 17 PPR points against the Raiders, rushing 13 times for 64 yards and a touchdown, while adding three for 21 through the air.
With Henderson sidelined, Stevenson steps into must-start territory against the Jets. New York has surrendered the ninth-most fantasy points to running backs, putting Rhamondre in position to record RB1 numbers.
Week 6 RB Sit: RJ Harvey vs. Seahawks
As promised, here’s the second Bronco earning a sit of the week nod. This one’s not necessarily the player’s fault, however. For whatever reason, Sean Payton seems to believe that J.K. Dobbins is a drastically better running back than RJ Harvey, whereas general consensus and stats would suggest otherwise pretty conclusively.
Unfortunately for fantasy managers who have benefited from Harvey’s passing-game production, they aren’t calling the shots in Denver. Payton is, and he reduced Harvey to three touches for seven total yards last week. This comes after the elite receiving threat put together 16 receptions over his prior two contests, making Payton’s decision a major head-scratcher.
As long as Payton is calling plays in Denver, you need to keep Harvey on the bench until he gets on the field again.
Those are my Week 6 RB start/sit fantasy picks. Stay tuned for more start ’em, sit ’em content over the rest of the week!
