The NFL Week 6 slate kicks off with a primetime matchup between the Seattle Seahawks and the Denver Broncos on Thursday Night Football.
Both teams are 3-2 this season and are looking to gain ground in competitive divisional races. The Seahawks are looking to defend their Super Bowl title but currently trail the undefeated San Francisco 49ers in the NFC West. The Broncos aim to build on last season’s AFC Championship run but face a competitive AFC West, including the Kansas City Chiefs.
Looking at the odds, the Seahawks enter as 2.5-point road favorites with -142 moneyline odds on DraftKings Sportsbook. The Broncos are +120 to pull off the upset, with the game total set at 40.5 points.

There are plenty of ways to get involved beyond betting on one side. For now, let’s look at my top three player props for the Week 6 Thursday Night Football matchup.
Seahawks at Broncos NFL Player Prop Bets for Thursday Night Football
George Holani Over 1.5 Receptions (-120)
Gone are the days of Kenneth Walker III dominating Seattle’s backfield. With no single player capable of replacing the reigning Super Bowl MVP, Seattle has leaned on a running-back-by-committee approach. Through the first five games, Emanuel Wilson leads the team with 73 rushes for 251 yards and two touchdowns. Rookie Jadarian Price has 28 carries for 119 yards, while George Holani has 26 carries for 77 yards.
Holani has started to carve out a niche in the passing game. He leads the running back group with 11 receptions on 12 targets for 76 yards. The 26-year-old caught four passes against the 49ers last week and five against the Commanders in Week 3.
This trend should continue against the Broncos’ defense. Denver has a strong defensive front that forces the ball out of the quarterbacks’ hands at a high rate. Entering Week 6, the Broncos allow 7.4 targets per game to opposing running backs, the fourth-most in the NFL. Seattle has increasingly involved its running backs in the passing game, and that could work in Holani’s favor against Denver. He has caught 10 passes over his last three games, making the Over 1.5 Receptions line an appealing option. At -120 odds, I’m backing Holani to continue contributing as a pass catcher.
Bo Nix to Record an Interception (-139)
Bo Nix’s decision-making has shown some concerning signs this season. Through the opening five games, the 26-year-old has completed a career-low 59.9% of his pass attempts for 942 yards, six touchdowns and three interceptions. Nix also threw 12 interceptions as a rookie and 11 last season.
This trend could be problematic against a ball-hawking Seahawks defense. Seattle leads the NFL in total yards allowed per game (251.2), opponent passing yards per game (150.8), and interceptions (7). Seattle picked off Brock Purdy last week, snatched two passes from Justin Herbert before that, one from Jacoby Brissett in Week 2, and three from Drake Maye in the season opener.
Pro Football Focus lists Nix second in the NFL in turnover-worthy plays with 11 on the year, trailing only Herbert. Nix has been lucky he hasn’t been punished more for some of his poor decisions, but don’t expect that to hold up against this elite Seahawks defense. Five members of the Seattle defense have notched at least one interception this year, and the unit will likely be eager to add to that in a favorable matchup.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba to Record 100+ Receiving Yards (+116)
Jaxon Smith-Njigba is arguably playing at a higher level than anyone in football right now. Through the first five weeks, the two-time Pro Bowler has caught 37 passes on 50 targets for an NFL-leading 583 yards and seven touchdowns. Smith-Njigba is currently averaging 116.6 receiving yards per game. This follows a season where he led the league with 1,793 receiving yards, or 105.5 per game.
This is a tough matchup against a stingy Broncos defense. But Denver hasn’t lived up to its reputation, ranking 13th in points allowed (111) and 23rd in total yards allowed this year (1,737). But despite being strong against the pass, injuries have lately taken a toll on their secondary. Pat Surtain II will remain sidelined in Week 6 with an ankle injury. Talanoa Hufanga will also miss multiple weeks with an ankle injury and is the unit’s tone-setter, with 23 tackles, two interceptions (including a pick-six), a sack, and a forced fumble already this season. Riley Moss has also been limited in practice this week due to a rib injury.
With a healthy target share, Smith-Njigba has recorded 100+ receiving yards in four of his first five games this season. He should do the same against a banged-up Broncos secondary.
