Ravens vs. Falcons NFL Player Prop Bets and Picks for Sunday Night Football

In the Week 5 NFL Sunday Night Football matchup, the Baltimore Ravens will face the Atlanta Falcons.

Lamar Jackson will miss the game with an ankle injury, leaving Tyler “Snoop” Huntley to take snaps under center for Baltimore. The Ravens currently have a 3-1 record and are tied for the top spot in the AFC North. Michael Penix Jr. has helped provide a spark to this Falcons team, and Atlanta is now tied with the Carolina Panthers for the top spot in the NFC South with a 2-2 record.

Looking at the odds for the Week 5 SNF matchup, the Falcons enter as three-point favorites with -175 Moneyline odds on DraftKings Sportsbook. The Ravens hold +145 odds to pull off the upset, with the game total set at O/U 43.5 points.

But there are plenty of ways to get involved in the action beyond backing a side or total. Let’s take a look at my top three favorite player props for the Week 5 Sunday Night Football matchup. Ravens vs. Falcons NFL Player Prop Bets for Sunday Night Football

Drake London Over 80.5 Receiving Yards (-114)

Michael Penix Jr.’s return to the football field changed the outlook for Drake London entirely.Through the opening two weeks without the left-handed quarterback, London pulled in six receptions for 80 yards. In the two games alongside Penix Jr., London has tallied 14 receptions for 290 yards through the air. He has been targeted 16 times and has made up 48.2% of the receiving production on the year.

This is a great matchup to continue building his chemistry with Penix Jr. as the Ravens’ secondary has looked a bit vulnerable to this point. Baltimore ranks 20th in opponents’ points allowed and 15th in passing yards allowed. But more important than the matchup is the sheer volume of targets that London is seeing. The 25-year-old has had six or more receptions in seven of his last 11 games with Penix Jr. at quarterback.

Expect there to be plenty of downfield opportunities for London once again and for the 80.5 receiving yard line to be too low. He has tallied 96 and 194 receiving yards over the past two games. The USC product is also a big play threat, averaging 19+ yards per reception in each game with Penix Jr. and recording a longest gain of 37+ yards in both games. Count on Penix Jr. continuing to air it out at a high rate and being willing to take chances down the field, with London as the biggest beneficiary. Back the star wide receiver to continue cementing his place as one of the top pass catchers in the league and surpass 80.5 yards through the air for the third straight week.

Derrick Henry Over 19.5 Rushing Attempts (-112)

The outlook for the Ravens’ offense changes quite a bit without Lamar Jackson on the field. But Tyler Huntley has made two starts last year for the Ravens, has 31 career NFL appearances, and completed eight of his nine pass attempts last week to help secure the win. There is no replacing a two-time MVP, but Huntley has a skill set relatively similar to Jackson, which allows the offense to largely function the same. For Baltimore, this also means a high dose of rush attempts being handed to Derrick Henry.

Through the opening four weeks, Henry has tallied an NFL-leading 89 rush attempts for 374 rushing and seven touchdowns this season. The former Offensive Player of the Year has tallied 23+ carries in three of the four games. This is a tough matchup for Henry and the rushing attack. Atlanta currently leads the NFL in EPA/rush and yards per carry allowed, with the fewest rushing yards allowed on the year.

Given the strong defensive matchup, there is not a clear path to much production for the Ravens star. But given their typical style of play, and for the focus on the running game to be magnified given the backup quarterback suiting up, expect plenty of chances to still occur. Henry has tallied over 19.5 rushing attempts in three of the four games thus far, and will be the clear most talented offensive weapon with Jackson sidelined. Expect 20 rush attempts to be a comfortable bar to clear and for Henry to be given plenty of chances to make his mark on this game even if they don’t come with the greatest efficiency.

Mark Andrews Anytime Touchdown (+250)

Mark Andrews found the end zone for the first time this season in Week 4 and will look to build off of this during this week’s matchup. For all the success that the Falcons have had stopping the rush, they are vulnerable through the air. Through their first four games, Atlanta ranks 30th in total passing yards allowed and 21st in passing touchdowns conceded.

With Huntley filling in at quarterback, expect the Ravens to simplify the playbook and be eager to attack in short-yardage situations over the middle. This plays to Andrews’ strengths in a major way. The three-time Pro Bowler has tallied 18 receptions on 24 targets this season for 149 yards and a touchdown. Andrews has had at least three receptions in each game this year and has had great success with Huntley in his career. The two have shared the field in 24 career matchups, and Andrews has tallied 123 catches for 1,378 yards and 10 total touchdowns in these matchups. 10 of the 13 career passing touchdowns from Huntley have gone to the tight end position.

Count on Andrews being near the top of the list of priorities in the offensive attack whenever the Ravens are in the end zone. Darren Waller had two touchdowns against the Falcons in Week 2 and Pat Freiermuth reached pay dirt in the matchup with the Steelers in the opener. Expect Huntley to target the familiar target at a high rate and for Andrews to find the end zone for the second straight week.
