Michael Penix Jr. and the Atlanta Falcons will close down the Week 5 Sunday slate in a primetime matchup with the Baltimore Ravens. This matchup lost a bit of luster following the news that Lamar Jackson will miss due to an ankle injury, but both of these teams are firmly in their divisional races and eager to add another win.
Looking at the odds for the SNF matchup, the Falcons enter as three-point favorites and hold -175 odds to win outright on DraftKings Sportsbook. The Ravens hold +145 odds to produce the upset, with the game total set at O/U 43.5 points.

There are plenty of ways to get involved in the action. You can check out the preview for the game outlook and plenty more on DraftKings Network here. But let’s look at my top Michael Penix Jr. prop bet for tonight’s Sunday Night Football matchup.
Michael Penix Jr. Best Passing Yards Pick vs. Ravens
Michael Penix Jr. Over 218.5 Passing Yards (-112)
Michael Penix Jr.’s return to the football field brought a major spark to the Atlanta Falcons’ offensive attack. Atlanta dropped the opening two games in which it became evident Cooper Rush was not the answer under center, and the Falcons dropped each of their first two games. Penix Jr. has provided a notable upgrade in the passing game, which has opened up far more options in the offense and resulted in back-to-back wins.
In his season debut, the Washington product completed 18 of his 25 pass attempts, throwing for 256 yards, one touchdown and one interception against the Green Bay Packers. Last week, Penix Jr. completed 15 of his 20 pass attempts for 223 passing yards and a touchdown against the New Orleans Saints. He has thrown for over 218.5 passing yards in both games thus far.
Looking at the matchup this week, it has been a mixed bag of results from this Ravens defense. Baltimore ranks 20th in opponent points allowed, 15th in passing yards conceded and 13th in net yards per pass attempt so far this season. Daniel Jones struggled against Baltimore in the season opener, being limited to just 166 passing yards and completing 19 of his 31 pass attempts. In Week 2, Tyler Shough recorded 254 yards through the air against Baltimore, completing 27 of his 34 pass attempts. Dak Prescott further exceeded this, completing 25 of his 40 passes for 276 yards through the air, while Cam Ward mustered up 222 passing yards last week.
If one thing has been evident about Penix Jr. thus far in his professional career, he is willing to let it fly. The left-handed gunslinger has the arm strength to make any throw on the field, and the playmakers around him to capitalize. Drake London has been targeted 16 times over the past two weeks, and he tallied 290 yards of offense by himself. The chunk plays are there to be had against this Ravens defense and expect Penix Jr. to be eager to capitalize. Atlanta has largely given him free rein to air it out as he desires, and he benefitted from the results. Penix Jr. has tallied over 218.5 passing yards in both starts, and the Ravens have allowed opposing quarterbacks to clear this line in three of their four games this season. Expect both of these trends to continue and for the Falcons quarterback to deliver for Atlanta in primetime.
