While this Lions vs. Bills matchup has shootout written all over it – this game’s 54.5-point total on DraftKings Sportsbook is the highest total the NFL has seen this season – LaPorta is a strong bet for under 4.5 receptions.

LaPorta is garnering a target on 18% of his routes the last two seasons and he caught 5-of-8 targets vs. the Texans in Week 1, but the Bills are elite at stopping tight ends. Over the last two seasons, Buffalo is giving up the fewest catches to the position by a comfortable margin. This defense has only yielded 54 receptions to tight ends and ranking second are the Eagles and Raiders with 71 apiece.

In the Bills’ Week 1 win over the Texans – which was another high scoring affair that produced 67 points – Dalton Schultz only finished with four grabs for Houston. In fact, the Bills have only allowed one tight end over the last two seasons to clear 4.5 catches and that was Mike Gesicki in Week 14 of last season, when he caught all six of his targets.
