Reds vs. Diamondbacks game delayed due to rain Sunday 6/14/26

UPDATE: The game will resume in the top of the ninth inning at 5:10 p.m. E.T.

Sundayโ€™s series finale between the Cincinnati Reds and Arizona Diamondbacks has entered a rain delay late in the game at Great American Ball Park.

Arizona held a 4-3 lead when play was halted. The delay comes with the Diamondbacks trying to close out a rubber-match win after the teams split the first two games of the weekend series.

The game had already turned on a handful of long balls. Tommy Troy put Arizona on the board with a solo homer, Geraldo Perdomo later gave the D-backs a two-run swing, and Gabriel Moreno added a go-ahead shot to move Arizona back in front. Cincinnati stayed close behind its own power and traffic against Zac Gallen, but the Reds were still chasing one run when the weather stopped play.

No official resumption time has been announced yet. Once the tarp comes off, Cincinnati should have one final chance to extend the game, while Arizona will look to hand the ball to the back of its bullpen and escape Cincinnati with a series win.
