UPDATE: Pivetta left the game due to right elbow stiffness.
In the top of the fourth inning of Sunday’s game against the Colorado Rockies, Nick Pivetta was replaced by Kyle Hart. After throwing his 46th pitch of the day, a 92-mph fastball, Pivetta left the game with the trainer.
There’s been no official designation for the exact injury suffered.
Prior to exiting, Pivetta pitched three innings and struck out four.
