2024 NFL Fantasy Football Rankings — Start, Sit RB Week 17

Updated:

By: Zach Thompson

If you’ve made it this far–congratulations! For most leagues, Week 17 is the final week of the fantasy football season which means this week could be the week you bring home the championship. Whatever place you may be fighting for this week, you’ll want to be sure to have your best starters on the field, especially in the backfield. To help with your start/sit decisions, check out my top 25 running backs during Week 17 listed below.

In Week 16, Jonathan Taylor ($6,900; 42.8 FPTS) led the way with the top score from a running back as he bounced back from his brutal fumble at the goal line the week before. Chuba Hubbard ($6,800; 35.5 FPTS) continued to shine as the primary back in Carolina and helped carry his team to a win with a huge game, as did De’Von Achane ($7,400; 34 FPTS) and James Cook ($7,000; 30.6 FPTS). At the same time, Saquon Barkley ($8,300; 30 FPTS) had another huge game with 150 rushing yards and two touchdowns but his Eagles came up just short against the Commanders.

In Week 17, Barkley and the Eagles host the Cowboys on Sunday afternoon in the early game. The status of Jalen Hurts is uncertain, but Barkley should be the focus of the game plan either way in a smash spot against the Cowboys.

He gets my top spot for Week 17, but there are several other strong options to consider. Here are my top 25 RBs to start for Week 17:

  1. Saquon Barkley (vs. DAL)
  2. Jahmyr Gibbs (at SF)
  3. Jonathan Taylor (at NYG)
  4. Bijan Robinson (at WAS)
  5. Kyren Williams (vs. ARI)
  6. De’Von Achane (at CLE)
  7. Bucky Irving (vs. CAR)
  8. Josh Jacobs (at MIN)
  9. James Conner (at LAR)–if healthy
  10. James Cook (vs. NYJ)
  11. Derrick Henry (at HOU)
  12. Chuba Hubbard (at TB)

Even though he grew up almost 8,000 miles away in Guam, he is a diehard Boston sports fan but will take a fantasy value play wherever he can get it, even if it’s from the Yankees.
