Jayson Tatum, Nikola Jokic: NBA Public Betting Picks to Note

Published:

By: Julian Edlow

This is a new article here on DK Network to hopefully give the bettors a look behind the book at the most heavily bet NBA player props of the night by ticket count. It indicates which props bettors are most interested in for that slate of games, and I’ll try and offer some analysis as to why (or analysis as to why you should be careful). Please keep in mind that betting the NBA is an ever-changing market, and that injury news closer to tip could always take one of these players off the board, or change other props that become more heavily bet close to tipoff.

The public is riding a pretty hot streak on these props, going 5-0 Tuesday, and then 4-1 Wednesday followed by another 4-1 Thursday! Let’s see if bettors can stay hot on Friday night.

Jayson Tatum OVER 27.5 Points (-115)

Tatum is averaging over 30 a game so far this season, dropping exactly 37 points in three of five games. He has also dominated Charlotte in recent years, going for 33 or more points in eight of his last 11 against the Hornets. Those outings include games of 41, 41, 44, 45 and 51 points, so JT is probably worth a look on his ALT lines on Friday.

Nikola Jokic OVER 26.5 Points (-125)

Jokic is just about the only good thing the Nuggets have going right now. After scoring just 16 points in the season opener, Joker has gone for 41, 40 and 29 in his last three games. It’s a tougher matchup against Minnesota, but bettors aren’t shy to back another aggressive night from Jokic.

Cade Cunningham OVER 1.5 3-Pointers (-160)

Cunningham has been seeing good volume from downtown to start the season, attempting at least six triples in each game so far. Overall, he’s shooting 14-for-35 from beyond the arc, connecting on at least two in every game this season. Cunningham’s been particularly hot of late, hitting four 3-pointers in each of his last two.

Nikola Jokic Triple Double: YES (+275)

We’ve seen Jokic priced far shorter in the triple-double market, so +275 feels like a pretty good bargain, even going against the Wolves. Jokic has ripped off a triple-double in two of four games so far this season.

Brandon Ingram OVER 23.5 Points (-120)

Ingram has only gone over this mark twice in five games, but he’s coming off a poor performance in his last game. With the Pelicans extremely shorthanded, bettors feel Ingram will see some increased volume.
