This is a new article here on DK Network to hopefully give the bettors a look behind the book at the most heavily bet NBA player props of the night by ticket count. It indicates which props bettors are most interested in for that slate of games, and I’ll try and offer some analysis as to why (or analysis as to why you should be careful). Please keep in mind that betting the NBA is an ever-changing market, and that injury news closer to tip could always take one of these players off the board, or change other props that become more heavily bet close to tipoff.
After a 5-0 Tuesday, the public is continuing to crush on these props, running it back with a 4-1 Wednesday!
Kyrie Irving OVER 23.5 Points (-125)
Kyrie has been among the most bet players in each of his last three games, and has cashed for bettors each time, averaging 26.7 points over that span. Despite his prop on the rise, bettors are going right back to Kyrie to go over his point prop hosting the Rockets.
Luke Doncic OVER 2.5 3-Pointers (-160)
This is an interesting one, as Doncic’s prop almost always opens at 3.5 for his triples. After hitting nine total 3-pointers in his first two games combined, Doncic has made just one from downtown in each of his last two games. That bumped the number down, and bettors took advantage. The prop already moved back up to its usual number of 3.5.
Giannis Antetokounmpo OVER 28.5 Points (-125)
Despite the Bucks struggling as a team, Giannis is still averaging 28.8 points through four games. He’s 2-2 to the over on his point prop, but bettors are backing him to have a big night as a road favorite in Memphis.
Ja Morant OVER 20.5 Points (-110)
Morant has been struggling over the last two games, scoring 16 and 14 points on a combined 9-of-28 shooting. That gives us a lower number on his point prop tonight, and bettors are banking on a bounce-back. The Grizzlies have been running a high-powered offense, while the Bucks have been one of the worst defenses in the NBA.
Luka Doncic OVER 8.5 Rebounds (-120)
Doncic is averaging 9.3 rebounds per game, and the only time he’s fallen short of this number through four games was when he pulled down eight boards against Minnesota. Bettors are looking to Doncic to continue rebounding the ball in the early going, and expecting some good pace against Houston.
