Anthony Edwards, Kyrie Irving Props: Public Bets to Watch Out For

Published:

By: Julian Edlow

This is a new article here on DK Network to hopefully give the bettors a look behind the book at the most heavily bet NBA player props of the night by ticket count. It indicates which props bettors are most interested in for that slate of games, and I’ll try and offer some analysis as to why (or analysis as to why you should be careful). Please keep in mind that betting the NBA is an ever-changing market, and that injury news closer to tip could always take one of these players off the board, or change other props that become more heavily bet close to tipoff.

Kyrie Irving OVER 21.5 Points (-110)

Usually the public mixes in an under in this article, but not today. After a poor shooting night in the opener against the Spurs, Irving has gone over this mark in each of his last two games. However, Minnesota is good defensively and will be out for revenge after how the Western Conference Finals ended.

Anthony Edwards OVER 5.5 Rebounds (-145)

Bettors are chasing a ton of Edwards overs, as they are expecting Ant Man to have a big game against the team that eliminated him from the postseason. Edwards is averaging 6.3 rebounds this season, and has had at least six in each game. He also went well over this total in four of the five WCF games against Dallas.

Nikola Jokic OVER 7.5 Assists (-140)

After dishing out 13 assists in a triple-double on opening night, Jokic has just eight total assists in the last two games combined. Denver has not been playing good basketball, barely getting its first win of the season in overtime on Monday in Toronto. Tough back-to-back for the Nuggets here, traveling to Brooklyn, but bettors are expecting a bounce-back against a soft Brooklyn defense.

Anthony Edwards OVER 26.5 Points (-120)

Same story here, with bettors backing a big night for Edwards. He has exceeded this number in two of three games this season, but just two of the five games in the WCF.

Michael Porter Jr. OVER 14.5 Points (-120)

MPJ has only topped this number once this season, but with a larger role in the offense, bettors are backing him to find more opportunities against the Nets.
