Game status update: Smith is officially ACTIVE for Thursday night’s game, per Adam Schefter.
Game day update: Smith is expected to play against the 49ers on Thanksgiving, per Ian Rapoport.
The Seattle Seahawks will face the San Francisco 49ers in Week 12 of the NFL season. This game is scheduled for the Thursday night game, so these teams are operating on a short week. This is bad news for Seattle quarterback Geno Smith, who picked up a right elbow injury in his last game.
Smith didn’t practice on Monday but was upgraded to limited on Tuesday and upgraded yet again to a full practice participant on Wednesday. He missed a few series, but the Los Angeles Rams were able to come back and take a late lead, causing Smith to be forced back into the game, but he was unable to win it.

Fantasy football analysis
Smith heads into this week as the overall QB19 in fantasy football. He has yet to take on the 49ers but will face them twice in the next three weeks. Smith is expected to play, but his being even a little banged up is enough to avoid him for your lineups, as San Francisco’s defense allows the third-fewest fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks.
NFL DFS analysis
There will be six starting quarterbacks on Thursday, and Smith is the fifth-most expensive at $5,600. The 49ers’ defense allows the third-fewest DFS points per game to opposing quarterbacks. Even though he would be a player where you could save some money, the matchup for not only him but his teammates is rough and he doesn’t project to have a great output.
