Garion is a Toronto-based writer who has been playing fantasy sports since elementary school. With a particular affinity for advanced statistics and sabermetrics, he’s been covering DFS Baseball, Football and Basketball for DraftKings dating back to 2018. Prior to that, Garion’s work could be found at FNTSY, SportsGrid, HoopsHype, The New York Daily News and Sportsnet.ca. Still, he is a Dolphins fan, so his decision-making can be questioned from time-to-time.
This is it. The final two weeks of the NBA’s regular season. What a cold, unforgiving place. If you thought the last month was littered with vague injuries — look out. These next 13 days are going to feature some absolutely shameless tanking. I, personally, can not wait to watch it all unfold. Not just […]

After posting the first 50/50 campaign in MLB history, it has not taken long for Shohei Ohtani to get back into the groove of regular season baseball. In fact, across his first 14 plate appearances of 2025, Ohtani has managed a pair of home runs to go along with a .500 OBP and a .606 […]

I won’t sugarcoat it. This isn’t exactly a night of sports where NBA comes first. Not only is it MLB Opening Day, but it’s the Sweet 16 tips off this evening, as well. Stiff competition. Still, we’ve got a six-game featured slate on DraftKings with a big prize pool. You’re obviously going to make a […]

The season hasn’t even started yet and we’re dealing with key players getting scratched. Yikes. After waking up ill thanks to a bout of food poisoning, Tanner Bibee will not start this afternoon’s Opening Day game against the Royals. Ben Lively will instead take the mound for the Guardians. Bibee, who pitched to a 3.47 […]

It’s Opening Day which means a couple different things if you’re an Angels fan. One, your arduous journey to return to the playoffs has started once again. Two, Mike Trout is currently healthy. That second one is actually a lot of fun even if you’re not a Los Angeles supporter. Trout remains one of the […]

It’s Opening Day, so let’s go over some basics for those looking to dip their toe in MLB DFS for the first time. You might be saying, Garion, aren’t the pitchers already ranked by price? Yes. They are. How observant of you. However, these rankings — my rankings — aren’t necessarily a reflection of skill. […]

Tonight’s six-game slate doesn’t have as much injury news as you’d expect from a late-March evening of basketball, yet what it lacks in quantity, it makes up for in quality. Giannis Antetokounmpo (foot) and Damian Lillard (calf) are out. Jayson Tatum ($11,000; ankle) is doubtful. Nikola Jokic ($12,500; ankle) is questionable. These are massive names […]

It’s finally here. Opening Day. For a baseball nerd like me, this is Christmas, Halloween and my birthday all rolled into one. It certainly helps when there’s a massive contest and prize pool on DraftKings, too. For the purposes of this article, we’ll be focusing on Thursday’s nine-game featured slate, which gets going at 4:05 […]
