Garion is a Toronto-based writer who has been playing fantasy sports since elementary school. With a particular affinity for advanced statistics and sabermetrics, he’s been covering DFS Baseball, Football and Basketball for DraftKings dating back to 2018. Prior to that, Garion’s work could be found at FNTSY, SportsGrid, HoopsHype, The New York Daily News and Sportsnet.ca. Still, he is a Dolphins fan, so his decision-making can be questioned from time-to-time.
Baseball’s back tonight and all 30 teams are scheduled to be in action — though a lot of rain in a lot of places may have different ideas. Still, it’s hard not to be excited, especially after most of use have spent the past few nights betting Summer League basketball and watching paint dry. We’re […]

We’re here once again. The slowest week on the sports calendar. I mean, Wimbledon is obviously a draw and the field at the Scottish Open is decent, but when it comes to the four major North American sports, this time of year is a wasteland. But that doesn’t mean we can’t still find things to […]

Look, I’m not generally a “trends that span a decade” sort of person, but the American League’s dominance over the National League in the All-Star Game is getting a little silly. The AL comes into tonight’s rendition in Seattle having won nine straight Midsummer Classics, and are 21-3-1 in the event dating all the way […]

We’re three days from the MLB All-Star break and two months away from the start of the NFL regular season. The NBA Draft and most of free agency has passed. These are the dog day, folks. As such, you have to sometimes do quirky things — gimmicks, if you will — to keep yourself entertained. […]

Today is Wednesday. W-E-D-N-E-S-D-A-Y. I just wanted to remind everyone, because it’s the most Monday-feeling Wednesday we’ll get all year. So, with your internal clock all discombobulated and your stomach all full of hot dogs, may I suggest playing few MLB lineups on DraftKings tonight? It’s the exact sort of humbling and grounding experience you […]

Happy Fourth from your neighbor to the north! With it being a holiday in the States, there will be baseball on all day, starting with a game in Washington at 11:05 a.m. ET. That means you’ll have a healthy dose of MLB to accompany your barbeque, beer and fireworks — presented in no particular order. […]

We’re 35-28 on article plays for the season, which, in my head, reads like a Tecmo Super Bowl score. Well, in keeping with that analogy, let’s aim to add a field goal to the win column tonight — preferably one from Pete Stoyanovich. Go Dolphins. It’s a small MLB slate. Let’s dive in. Bet at […]

Did you know MLB All-Star Game voting ends tomorrow? I’m still out here thinking that Opening Day was just a few weeks ago, but apparently half the regular season has already passed us by. You know what they say, time flies when you’re scrolling 10,000 FanGraphs pages a day. …People say that, right? Let’s dive […]

I want to get excited about a rare 15-game featured MLB slate, yet there’s some weather concerns in the northeast that deserve our attention, specifically in New York and Baltimore. I’d tell Mets fans to pray for some clear skies, but there’s a good chance they’d rather not have to watch the team at this […]

I’m not an idiot. I know that tonight is the NBA Draft. Heck, there’s a far better chance that I’ll be watching Adam Silver awkwardly hug grown men than really focusing in on a Royals or Pirates game. But who said you have to watch your bets? That’s what the DraftKings app is for, people. […]

Today is the Summer solstice. That means this Wednesday will have more daylight than any other day in 2023. It would be exciting — if we were going to be outside. But we’re not. We’re watching baseball all night. Preferably with all the windows shut and the curtains closed. There’s nothing worse than glare on […]
