Garion is a Toronto-based writer who has been playing fantasy sports since elementary school. With a particular affinity for advanced statistics and sabermetrics, he’s been covering DFS Baseball, Football and Basketball for DraftKings dating back to 2018. Prior to that, Garion’s work could be found at FNTSY, SportsGrid, HoopsHype, The New York Daily News and Sportsnet.ca. Still, he is a Dolphins fan, so his decision-making can be questioned from time-to-time.
Who says writers aren’t superstitious? I mean, we all know athletes are — gamblers, too — but this morning I took a page from those playbooks. June hasn’t been that kind to us, as we come into Thursday just 4-6 on article plays this month. We’re still at 32-24 for the season as a whole, […]

The NBA season official ended on Monday. The NHL season officially ended on Tuesday. Preseason games for the NFL are at least six weeks away. We’re in the thick of baseball season now, baby! Let’s celebrate with a 12-game featured slate this evening on DraftKings. Set your DraftKings fantasy baseball lineups here: MLB $250K Relay […]

We were so, so close to a full 15-game slate this evening, something it feels like we haven’t had all season. But alas, thanks to a 6:40 p.m. ET first pitch in Detroit, we’ll have to settle for just 14 games. Actually, with heavy rain expected in Chicago, let’s call it 13.5 games to be […]

Last night we had a perfect example of why you need to take advantage of the available promos on the DraftKings Sportsbook. That’s right! I’m a company man at heart. [awkwardly turns to the camera and gives a thumbs up while smiling] Anyway, thanks to the 2-Run Lead Early Win offer currently running, I was […]

Lots of big news around baseball the past 24 hours. Aaron Judge is back on the IL. Jacob deGrom will undergo Tommy John surgery and miss the remainder of the season. Alek Manoah was sent all the way to Rookie Ball to try and cure what ails him. It’s been hectic in these 90-foot streets. […]

This is completely anecdotal, but it feels like weather hasn’t played as large a role in MLB DFS this season as it has in the past. Heck, this past weekend’s doubleheader between the Rays the Red Sox was only the ninth time teams have had to double-dip in 2023. We didn’t even get a snow […]

Right now, we’re on a heater. We’ve got “rizz” as the kids might say. I definitely used that right. Don’t look it up. After a 2-0 night on Thursday, we’re sitting at 13-4 on articles plays dating back to May 11. That brings our record to 30-18 (+13.9u) for the season as a whole. Exciting […]
June 2, 2023
A new month means some time for reflection — and we’ve been crushing it so far this season. Following a 12-8 record on article plays in May, we’re now sitting at 28-18 for 2023 as a whole. That comes out to a profit of 11.8 units. Pretty good, if I do say so myself. Tonight […]
June 1, 2023
We’ve got ourselves a four-game afternoon slate on Thursday to celebrate the first day of June. We’ve made it through the April showers and the May flowers, now we’ll hopefully get to see some June… horsepower? Now I see why that rhyme stopped after two. Forget poetry. Let’s talk baseball. Set your DraftKings fantasy baseball […]
May 31, 2023
Well, after tonight, it is no longer going to be May. My deepest apologies to Justin Timberlake. To celebrate the change of months and the general passage of days, let’s build some fantasy baseball lineups — as of forefathers did before us. DraftKings has a six-game featured slate kicking-off just past 7:00 p.m. ET. Let’s […]

I’m born and raised in the Great White North, so excuse my ignorance on this matter, but does the MLB season “officially” start after Memorial Day or Independence Day? Honestly, I’m dialed into every pitch from Opening Day, so it doesn’t really matter to me, but the question is particularly relevant this morning. Let’s just […]
