Garion is a Toronto-based writer who has been playing fantasy sports since elementary school. With a particular affinity for advanced statistics and sabermetrics, he’s been covering DFS Baseball, Football and Basketball for DraftKings dating back to 2018. Prior to that, Garion’s work could be found at FNTSY, SportsGrid, HoopsHype, The New York Daily News and Sportsnet.ca. Still, he is a Dolphins fan, so his decision-making can be questioned from time-to-time.
Coming into Monday’s tilt against the Nets, Zach Edey had had a relatively underwhelming start to his NBA career. He was still the co-favorite to win NBA Rookie of the Year, but the ninth-overall pick had yet to have a dominant performance at the professional level. Needless to say, that has now changed. However, you […]

MLB Free Agency officially got underway on Monday, and while we won’t likely see some of the bigger names signing any time soon, it’s time to start understanding the landscape. It’s certainly a deeper class than in 2023 and though there isn’t a Shohei Ohtani to be found, Juan Soto is a pretty good baseball […]

There’s two possible red flags when it comes to DeAndre Hopkins’ viability in Week 9. The most glaring is simply usage. In his first game with the Chiefs last week against the Raiders, Hopkins was limited to just 23 offensive snaps and a 31.9% snap share. However, it was at least somewhat encouraging that the […]

When looking for value on a given fantasy basketball slate, there’s generally two places where you should start your search. It took a week, but you know the NBA regular season has official started, because All-Star players are beginning to drop like flies. Scottie Barnes (eye) and Paolo Banchero (oblique) are going to be missing long-term, while the league has fined the 76ers $100,000 for whatever the heck is happening with Joel Embiid (knee). It’s […]

Zach Lavine has looked fantastic to start the season, but as has been the case in recent years, injury might again be his downfall. The former All-Star suffered an AC joint sprain in his left shoulder on Wednesday and he’s now being listed as questionable for Friday’s contest against the Nets. In five starts in […]

The thing about a week-to-week status is that it’s very vague. However, on Wednesday, we did receive a pretty positive update on DK Metcalf (knee) heading into Week 9’s matchup with the Rams. While the wideout did not practice, head coach Mike Macdonald did state that he’s optimistic that Metcalf will be able to suit […]

For as much as he struggled during the regular season, Giancarlo Stanton has been an absolute beast in the postseason. He’s one of the main reasons the Yankees even made the World Series, and he’ll likely need another big performance in Game 5 if New York is going to stay alive on Wednesday night. Let’s […]

Last we saw Gerrit Cole, he was walking off the mound in Game 1 with the lead. Four Freddie Freeman home runs later, and Cole will take the ball in Game 5 looking to keep the Yankees’ World Series dreams alive. Can New York’s ace get the team back to Los Angeles? Let’s explore some […]
