Every team is scheduled to play tonight but that doesn’t mean they’ll get the game in. A lot of weather issues across the league tonight will cause disruptions, so make sure to check before placing your bets. I would particularly stay clear from the KCR @ STL and MIN @ CWS games, as they have very little chance to play.

Philadelphia Phillies vs. Los Angeles Dodgers
The Pick: Philadelphia Phillies team total over 4.5 runs -110
It’s been a tough start for Bobby Miller in the majors. The rookie has only made six starts and thrown 25 innings but sports a 6.12 ERA with a 5.44 xERA and a 5.4 BB/9. He has a very tough task tonight against the Phillies in Philadelphia with winds blowing out between 10-12 mph. To make matters even worse, it’s expected that both Bryce Harper and Kyle Schwarber could be back in the lineup tonight, both coming off the IL. This could be a great matchup for both hitters, as Miller currently has a .392 wOBA against lefties with a 6.26 FIP. This Phillies offense could certainly use the boost with Harper and Schwarber, as they’ve averaged just 3.6 runs per game since they’ve gone on the IL. When you consider the matchup, I think the get a nice boost tonight and go over their team total.

Boston Red Sox vs. Oakland Athletics
The Pick: Red Sox Team Total over 5.5 runs -105
It’s a very high total for the Red Sox but I think they can hit the over tonight against the A’s and Joey Estes. He’s a very basic pitcher that throws a fastball nearly 60% of the time. He also struggles against lefties, which is not a stat you want to have when facing Boston. They’ll likely start six of them in the lineup tonight and are also very good at hitting a four seam. Tonight’s expected lineup has a .368 wOBA with a .223 ISO against that pitch. As mentioned, his numbers against lefties a very poor and he’ll enter this start with a .366 wOBA, a 5.46 FIP and four of the seven home runs he’s allowed. The Red Sox offense has been humming lately and enter tonight averaging 5.1 runs per game. I think they get at least a six spot tonight against the lowly A’s pitching staff.
Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Atlanta Braves
The Pick: Zac Gallen under 1.5 walks +110
Per usual, Gallen continue to exhibit fantastic control on the mound. He’s walked less than two batters in a game in 7 of his 13 starts this season. Tonight, he’ll face a free swinging Braves club that has me liking the under on his walk total. Tonight’s expected lineup for the Braves have a combined 6.8% BB. The bottom half of their lineup in particular hardly draw walks, which should benefit Gallen.
