NBA Bets: Player Next Team Betting Splits on DraftKings Sportsbook

With the NBA free agency frenzy looming, we are bound to see some big-name players in different jerseys by the start of the 2024-25 season. The NBA draft kicked off on Wednesday night and plenty of teams could look to move toward younger rosters, resulting in veterans looking elsewhere this offseason, such as Golden State’s Klay Thompson or Los Angeles’ Paul George among others.

Below are some updated NBA player next team betting splits via DraftKings Sportsbook.

LeBron James Next Team Splits

This shouldn’t be too surprising. There have been talks of the Lakers offering LeBron a three-year, $160 million max contract and I don’t think many truly believed that he would be leaving Los Angeles at this point in his career. Although 70% of the money is on the Lakers, bettors have still placed a higher percentage of bets on the Suns and Cavaliers, at 15% and 17%, respectively.

Paul George Next Team Splits

Although PG’s odds are -200 to return to the Clippers, the public is clearly not buying that as a whopping 59% of the bets are on the Warriors (29%) and 76ers (30%). Ten percent of the money lies with the Clippers, however, but the +400 odds for both Golden State and Philadelphia are enticing enough to claim a total of 63% of the money.

Klay Thompson Next Team Splits

The Splash brothers era has come to an end in Golden State and even with Steve Kerr’s recent comments about wanting Klay Thompson back “badly,” it’s hard to imagine that he will be sporting the Warriors jersey any longer. Despite holding the third-best odds, the Warriors still claim the highest percentage of bets at 19%, even with 36% of the money on the Magic.

Trae Young Next Team Splits

The Trae Young situation is an interesting one and it’s hard to imagine him playing in another city but bettors are locked in on the Pelicans as a potential landing spot. A whopping 48% of the money is on Young returning to Atlanta but New Orleans has emerged as a popular option, claiming over 29% of the money and the highest percentage of bets by a large margin.

Brandon Ingram Next Team Splits

The odds for Brandon Ingram to return to New Orleans still remain at -110 but the public wants no part of it. The 76ers remain front-runners, claiming over 29% of the money but both the Hawks and Kings are slowly generating traction to land him for the upcoming season. Only five percent of the money and four percent of the bets have been placed on the Pelicans.
