It’s Tuesday, which means all 30 teams are taking the field tonight in Major League Baseball. In turn, that means a massive 12-game slate on DraftKings, with the action getting underway just past 7:00 p.m. ET.

Let’s dive in and find some studs and values for your lineups.

PITCHER

Stud

Bryan Woo, Seattle Mariners vs. Chicago White Sox, $8,900

(*Editors Note: Bryan Woo has been scratched Tuesday vs. the White Sox)

It’s been an interesting season for Woo. The sophomore hasn’t allowed a single earned run in his last two outings and he’s rocking a microscopic 1.07 ERA for the season as a whole, yet he’s also seen his strikeout numbers fall off a cliff. However, Woo’s raw stuff remains fantastic. The RHP has never registered a strikeout rate lower than 30% at any of his stops in the minors. I have faith that the swing and misses will return. A matchup with the White Sox certainly might help, as Chicago sits sixth in strikeout rate (24.1%) and swinging strike rate (12.0%) across the past 30 days.

Value

Tylor Megill, New York Mets vs. Miami Marlins, $7,300 – Megill is a name to keep an eye on moving forward. The 28-year-old initially got my attention with some eye-popping strikeout totals on his rehab assignment, and Megill has been able to carry that success to the MLB level. He’s only made four starts in 2024, yet he’s posted a 3.00 ERA, a 2.91 FIP and a 27.0% strikeout rate. He’s also ditched his change-up for a cutter, which has led to better results against opposing LHBs — and area where Megill has struggled in the past. Specific to Tuesday, Megill draws an amazing matchup against a Marlins team that owns the league’s lowest ISO (.117).

INFIELD

Stud

Ketel Marte, Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Los Angeles Angels, $5,100 – Somehow, Jose Suarez ($6,600) always finds his way back into the Angels’ rotation. The veteran has had his issues in 2024, pitching to a robust 6.54 ERA in 31.2 innings out of the bullpen, yet he’ll make a spot start this evening against the D-Backs. That’s great news for Marte, who has feasted as a right-handed hitter all season long. To wit, Marte is slashing .340/.402/.732 with a 212 wRC+ in his 107 plate appearances versus LHPs.

Stud

Oneil Cruz, Pittsburgh Pirates at St. Louis Cardinals, $4,300 – It’s a pretty simple formula with Cruz: Use him against RHPs with low strikeout rates. In 179 plate appearances versus right-handers in 2024, Cruz is slashing .299/.358/.518 with a 144 wRC+. Miles Mikolas ($6,500) enters play on Tuesday with a whiff rate that’s sitting in just the second percentile of qualified starters. You can see why this is an ideal situation for the hulking shortstop. Heck, in four career at-bats against Mikolas, Cruz already has two extra-base hits.

Value

Joey Ortiz, Milwaukee Brewers vs. Toronto Blue Jays, $3,500 – This isn’t exactly an ideal matchup for Ortiz — Yusei Kikuchi ($9,100) has been among the best pitchers in baseball over the last 12 months — but the 25-year-old is just so cheap. Ortiz has thrived hitting at home in 2024, slashing an insane .333/.456/.597 within the split with a 196 wRC+. In an opposite-hand duel with Kikuchi, he’s worth a look.

Value

Zach Neto, Los Angeles Angels at Arizona Diamondbacks, $3,400 – I’m curious to see who leads off for the Angels tonight. Nolan Schanuel ($3,200) was demoted to the seven-spot on Sunday against an RHP, so it stands to reason there will be a new-man sitting atop the lineup versus the left-handed Jordan Montgomery ($8,000), as well. My vote would be for Neto, who happens to be hitting .425 with a 190 wRC+ in his opportunities within the split so far this season. Fingers crossed. Michael Stefanic ($2,000) is another name to watch.

OUTFIELD

Stud

Shohei Ohtani, Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Texas Rangers, $6,500 – As we’ve established, Ohtani is viable in any matchup, but Tuesday’s is particularly tantalizing. Dane Dunning ($7,900) is currently in possession of an inflated 5.27 xERA and the main reason is his inability to keep LHBs in the yard. In fact, through 10 starts in 2024, Dunning is surrendering a ghastly 2.82 home runs per nine to left-handed opponents. Yikes.

Stud

Lourdes Gurriel, Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Los Angeles Angels, $4,300 – I like a Diamondbacks stack on this slate. Gurriel is mashing left-handed pitching to the tune of a .320 average and a 152 wRC+ this season, so he fits in perfectly against the aforementioned Suarez. It’s also worth considering that Suarez isn’t stretched out, which means we should see a lot of Los Angeles’ bullpen. That unit enters play with a 4.84 ERA — the third-highest mark in MLB.

Value

JJ Bleday, Oakland Athletics at San Diego Padres, $3,900 – It would be difficult to overstate just how much Randy Vasquez ($5,600) has struggled with LHBs this season. The right-hander has faced 50 and they’ve combined to produce a staggering .417 average and .646 slugging percentage. Bleday might not be a household name, but he does own a .212 ISO and a 119 wRC+ in 2024. He’s also locked into the top-third of the Athletics’ lineup.
