The Mavericks picked up yet another crunch-time victory on Sunday to take a commanding 3-0 series lead over the Timberwolves. Anthony Edwards and company look to get on the board tonight, while Dallas hopes to close it out.

Kyrie Irving Over 23.5 Points (-112)

We’re looking at a historic outcome one way or another tonight. Either Irving’s incredible 14-0 closeout game record snaps, or this becomes the first time both conference finals end in a sweep.
Regardless of the result, Closeout Kyrie has earned that nickname. The guy simply shows up in these situations more than anyone ever has. Irving has scored at least 24 points in seven of his last nine closeout contests, dating back to his first NBA stint with the Cavaliers.
He enters tonight’s matchup fresh off a 33-point performance, marking the second time in three games he’s hit the 30-point mark. Unsurprisingly, Irving’s usage rate also saw a notable spike in both of those contest. He and Luka Doncic have made light work of what was supposed to be a historically elite Timberwolves defense, and I expect that to be the case once again tonight.
